He's never going to give up on that extra income to pay people to finish his game faster. Unless he has something coming up in mind, and it's driving him crazy to start it, he's just going to keep working at this pace and making bank.
Considering what he makes, and what a 'proper wage' is for work, depending on who is doing what, let's assume he might take a loss of 20 to 50% on his monthly patronage income. Unless it feasible results in an equal reduction in overall production time (or better), it's simply not worth it. I know there's no fucking way I'd take a 50% pay cut (over the span of, say, 4-5 months, instead of full pay for 6) to just shave off a month or two of production time. Yes, the 'product' is out faster, which the audience almost assuredly loves, but now I'm also potentially looking at having lost not only 50% of that revenue stream, but the stream is also only 2/3 what it would have otherwise been, which my brain is unwilling to do the proper math on at this point, but I'm sure somebody will.
In any event, simply not worth it from a money standpoint, as the man also has all his bills to pay (a rendering farm eats a lot of electricity) and he's got a family to support, as he gave up his 'day job' to make this a full time thing.

Because he, meaning no disrespect to him, used this place to drive up his popularity, and then bailed on it when he became a full-time developer. Even mentioning this place around him gets people banned now (and has for a couple years at least).
To be slightly critical of the man, I do feel this move is akin to a rising political agent frequenting the local whorehouse and then once in office complaining about the rampant prostitution going on in his town, even though it was where he met half his connections and supporters.

The best advice I can give you?
Do not mod the game at all. DPC has some mod detection built into it at various points and it will fuck you in the ass, no lubricant.

Shit, man. I'm just glad to finally see somebody use the appropriate fucking word to describe it. And I'm suitably impressed by those who manage to keep up with such a playthrough. I wonder if there'll be something special for those guys, like Zoey just absolutely banging his brains out on a 48 hour bender when she reappears.
Obviously that will void the chastity angle, but there are only two reasons I can think of for the MC to remain unsullied in his college life thus far.
1. He's pining over the lost love (which may then do as mentioned above), or
2. He did the miraculous thing and actually listened to, and heeded, his father's advice.
#2 just seems far less realistic at his age.
