I actually think the branching will be easier than the previous paths. Up until now all sorts of paths and permutations of relationships were possible. I'm gonna try to list them off the top of my head, and I'm sure to miss something:

The Jade relationship is possibly about to go south big time due to this family meeting, or they could keep up their tryst.
It looks like there's going to be more happening with the Lily relationship since she wants to "Roll" with the mc.
And surely the Quinn relationship will keep progressing.
Oh yeah, and then there's Zoey!
So to me, it doesn't look like it's going to get more complicated with these branches, it'll actually be less so.
The question here is not complexity, but how high-quality and interesting each of the branches will be. Previously, the paths of the girls mutually intersected with each other, complementing and contrasting with each other. Jill looked interesting against the background of aggressive Sage and Bella looked elegant and sophisticated against the background of rude Quinn. I don't believe that all paths will be equally good.

I wonder if Bianca will only be pursuable if you are on Jill's path, if you are you get to see more of Bianca but if you aren't and you sit with Quinn on the park you get to see Bianca's boyfriend kissing one of her friends.

if you don't hang out with Jill you haven't even met Bianca yet, and even if that happened basically she would be just another side girl, it's one thing to be best friends with your girlfriend, it's another to be friends with someone you know, she loses a lot of interest...
actually this will continue at least in the immediate term, because it will not only count who you chose, but also who you left behind (the most obvious cases are Bella for Jill or Sage for Jade)
some characters have yet to face their big drama, and at that time MC will have to interact with them and it will make a difference whether we chose them, abandoned them, or were "never" romantically interested in them

) should just go and check out their own backyard first As long as people get scarred from an AL scene ( yeah the fire ) I don't think THEY should be worried about the mental state of another... and as for support wasn't it always so that it depends on you ?! I'd never seen that site before. I was frankly surprised to see that the guy(s) making "Summertime Saga" is the number one adult game maker on Patreon, with nearly 29k patrons right now. I really enjoy "Summertime Saga" but would never have guessed.
A very good website. Allows you to track the dynamics. In fact, his business is not growing, the number of patrons remains at the level of 14 thousand, spikes occur only when an update is released.
NLT Games has already overtaken him, although a few months ago they were several thousand patrons behind. Regular content updates are bearing fruit.
Probably soon it will be overtaken by Adeptus Steve. He's literally breathing down his back.

Considering what he makes, and what a 'proper wage' is for work, depending on who is doing what, let's assume he might take a loss of 20 to 50% on his monthly patronage income. Unless it feasible results in an equal reduction in overall production time (or better), it's simply not worth it. I know there's no fucking way I'd take a 50% pay cut (over the span of, say, 4-5 months, instead of full pay for 6) to just shave off a month or two of production time. Yes, the 'product' is out faster, which the audience almost assuredly loves, but now I'm also potentially looking at having lost not only 50% of that revenue stream, but the stream is also only 2/3 what it would have otherwise been, which my brain is unwilling to do the proper math on at this point, but I'm sure somebody will.
In any event, simply not worth it from a money standpoint, as the man also has all his bills to pay (a rendering farm eats a lot of electricity) and he's got a family to support, as he gave up his 'day job' to make this a full time thing.
Because he, meaning no disrespect to him, used this place to drive up his popularity, and then bailed on it when he became a full-time developer. Even mentioning this place around him gets people banned now (and has for a couple years at least).Gee, I wonder why Mr. Pink doesn't want to show up his face around here
To be slightly critical of the man, I do feel this move is akin to a rising political agent frequenting the local whorehouse and then once in office complaining about the rampant prostitution going on in his town, even though it was where he met half his connections and supporters.
The best advice I can give you? Do not mod the game at all. DPC has some mod detection built into it at various points and it will fuck you in the ass, no lubricant.
Shit, man. I'm just glad to finally see somebody use the appropriate fucking word to describe it. And I'm suitably impressed by those who manage to keep up with such a playthrough. I wonder if there'll be something special for those guys, like Zoey just absolutely banging his brains out on a 48 hour bender when she reappears.
Obviously that will void the chastity angle, but there are only two reasons I can think of for the MC to remain unsullied in his college life thus far.
1. He's pining over the lost love (which may then do as mentioned above), or
2. He did the miraculous thing and actually listened to, and heeded, his father's advice.
#2 just seems far less realistic at his age.

DarkCookie, "the guy behind Summertime Saga", sketches on stream five evenings a week (about 10 hours). This extra activity allows him to secure support. The fact that his game is hand-drawn, which is quite rare, also contributes to success, although the releases are more spaced out today. The creator can justify having a team of four (five?) people, a website, a wiki and a bugtracker in addition to a public Discord; these are little things that make the difference.

I always heard he bailed because too many people became toxic regarding how AL turned out. He got death threats and all that shit.
I can't find any evidence on this forum as such, so I don't know how that rumour got started.

Ok Mods, don't get mad and ban me, I am just relaying facts.
AL was pretty much a disaster for him in the aftermath. Yeah, some people, for some reason, like it. Seriously I do not know why. He still endlessly gets shit for having the option to choose an athletic body and not being able to carry two tiny girls out during an adrenaline situation.
He had a fair amount of much deserved scorn from "his" community. So he had to go light hearted for his next story, and well we all see how that is working out. Yes you can get banned just by mentioning AL to him these days.
So he left, but he has his spies here who keep him informed about the general mood of his "people".
I think that he has gotten snippy on some of his posts on Patreon and other places about what people are saying about time and all that shit, even admitting that he has too many characters to manage in this story.
Broken record time, AND that is why it will end abruptly and soon. Maybe he will make a second game for the following year, but I bet he goes full on D&D porno style.
