Here's a list of characters who are presumably paying their own tuition: Lily.

Quinn is probably covered by a restaurant scholarship, and most of the other characters are either covered by parents, or by student loans - like Maya thought she was - but without their parents hijacking the loan from under them (Patrick would probably be guilty of fraud, but also impossible to prosecute for it since the paperwork would be in order - except it seems like whatever arrangement he's made isn't actually a genuine student loan, so who knows what's going on there?).

Typical tuition for a state resident attending a public four year college is $11k a year. Rent and books start from at least another $7k, but $10k seems more typical. B&R seems to be a private college, which doubles or triples the tuition. So that's $30-40k a year before spending a cent on food, clothing or any sort of luxuries. Median income for a high school graduate in the US, with experience in their chosen career, is $42k a year.

So you're suggesting that Maya, fresh out of High School, with little to no work experience, and wanting to spend at least half her time on schoolwork, should find a job that pays her as though she had 20 years experience and were working full time?

Quinn's restaurant might have done it, or joining the Pink Rose, but for someone not willing to sell their body, getting a job to put yourself through college doesn't seem realistic - a quick check turns up estimates that the number of hours someone would have to work to pay their way through college have quadrupled over the last thirty years. The idea of working a part time job and covering your education is a 20th century one.


There are a few times you can opt to let your lover take charge, and Jade is pretty proactive, but, yeah, it's not a major part of the game.

I kept forgetting to ask during my Bella and Sage replays, but since the Thirsty Ghoul's identity was brought up again, I wanted to ask if there were any plausible guesses as to who is using the glory hole in Episode 1. We passed by Rio and Quinn as they exited the bathroom and discover there's someone else still on the other side.

The pinstripe pants make me think it's a Prep, but I don't think any of them would bother using the glory hole in the dorms, or even use the restaurant in general. So I'd go with a teacher, just don't know who. There's hardly any male teachers in general, and the only named ones are Bitch Tits Hoff and Old Fuck Willcock. And of course there's Stephen Burke, but again, why use the glory hole in the dorms?

The receptionist in Episode 1 tells us our dorm with Troy is in the Eastern wing, which is where Becky says the dorm party is as well. The assets in the hallway are virtually the same, with the exception of the posters covering the dorm numbers. But the path to both bathrooms seem different.


For Episode 1, we just go around the corner to reach the bathroom. Episode 8, you have to walk past Fake Vinny, turn a corner into another hallway with Leon and Tara, then turn again to reach the bathroom. Neither of the dorm party hallways match the Derek hallway, and especially don't have the magazine rack on the wall that is seen next to each bathroom. But hey, maybe the freeroams are just condensing the travel time, so the walk to the Episode 1 bathroom is actually longer than we thought, same goes for Episode 8.

Anyway back to Burke, let's just say there's two different glory holes in the Eastern wing for some reason. So whenever he's in the mood for a blowjob or whatever, he would have to travel to parts of campus that are heavy with student traffic, and risk getting caught every time, like MC easily could have done in Episode 1. I agree that it would not fit for Stephen to go to the dorms and use the glory hole. But you don't think the preps would bother using the restaurant?
