The fact that she was considering running away was a direct result of her putting herself aside for Maya. She had pinned so much hope on being there together with her at college and it was looking like it wasn't happening and this was after who knows how long where she been supporting Maya through this issue with Patrick and probably also being there for her because of Helen. So she was thinking of impulsively doing something to escape it all because it was becoming too much for her at the time and the MC was also something impulsive; an easy escape from it all by being with him. But when she reunited with Maya, much of that went away when she remembered how much Maya means to her and how much she wants to be there for her and help her.She was more than ready to leave Maya for Mc even as early as EP 2. Don't you remember? She thought she wasn't admitted at B&R and was ready to skip town and before that she wanted MC to fuck her at their date even when she had already told him she was cheating(She truly is her Daddy' little girl, huh? xD) .
Don't try and sell this, "Oh, Josy was ALWAYS prioritizing Maya over herself the whole game" when we all know it's not true considering she is more obssesed with MC than pretty much any girl in this game regardless if you reject her or not.
She helps Maya sure, but that was AFTER they recoinciled when she got accepted at B&R. When Josy is alone she is all about prioritizing herself to the point of even asking MC if they think they would've worked together if things were differently or trying to seduce him in EP 10 regardless of the route if you hang out with her.
But those thoughts of the MC being a convenient escape have always remained with her and that's what it's always been for her; an obsession because of the stress of the situation she was in. But now with that situation resolved, she's confused about her feelings for him and for Maya are because she doesn't know what's lost and what's genuine anymore and that's what we're (hopefully) going to see be explored next.
