I wouldn't call it a retcon, just a misunderstanding. It happens quite often that women in stories think they are infertile while in reality their partner is the infertile one.

what I mean by retcon he use this as important part of story while game wasnt about pregnant every girl you can. and if game change direction that would be retconing reasoning wise

All we know in terms of game Lore is that Stephen tells his therapist that "This was also around the time we found out my wife barren" so all we have so far to know shes infertile is a conversation Stephen had with his therapist. It's unlikely that they didn't have tests given it goes onto mention Jades desire to be a mother. But we don't know if either of them actually took tests to determine fertility and its not just a case of Stephen saying "well Im not firing blanks the problems clearly yours" its a very merky area...

It's still not really about that. So far only 2 women seem to be able to maybe become pregnant by MC and in both cases it has always been an important aspect about them:
- Jade thinks/thought she is/was infertile
- Nora really wants kids
There is no hint of any of the other women becoming pregnant by MC.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just tried it a lot without wearing a condom and on days that Jade should be the most fertile without her becoming pregnant. Other than not testing, it also isn't that unlikely that Stephen is just lying to his therapist.
Even if he didn't know when it was on, Magnar could just as easily had a call home program installed, that would send a signal as soon as it had power and internet access.
I could see a theory where Vinny, working with Magnar, is the one who compromised the computer. Nick would be guilty of letting Vinny into the building.

I don't think Stephen is lying to his therapist here... Jade says to the MC that he doesn't have to worry about her being on the Pill, and the pair do go on to adopt so there must be some infertility issues with the couple. Where that infertility lies and what they have done to confirm is another story - Now given up until recently I think Jades been quite loyal and well Stephen hasn't - there's certainly evidence that Stephen is indeed firing blanks, but that might be me looking into it a bit more than I should
