Mostly, but some serious movies came out, like Philadelphia. We mainly got lots of campy gay characters in movies like the Birdcage. You were born after 2000, right? Back in the 90s, faggot was a popular slur even in movies, and gays were only seen as comedic characters.
Wow, and I thought I was old for liking BaDIK with being from 1984.1975
Unfortunately, there are many people who do condemn homosexuals. There are quite a few celebrities in the past I've heard of (both Dutch and international) that were in a straight relationship while they knew they were gay, but back then I haven't heard yet of the saying of "being a beard".However, I had never heard of a Beard Agreement before BaDIK. Personally, I find it ridiculous that such a thing even exists, because I don't condemn homosexuals or gender issues.
1975 is ok for a developer...Wow, and I thought I was old for liking BaDIK with being from 1984.
You've never heard the expression 'Dirty old man'?Wow, and I thought I was old for liking BaDIK with being from 1984.
True, but I'm from the Netherlands. Frats and sororities exist over here, but as far as I know none of them have their own houses like they seem to have in the US. At most (except maybe in some rare elite cases I don't know about) they gather in a club house or something. You've never heard the expression 'Dirty old man'?
Also, the 'college experience' story told here is more in-line with what a Gen-Xer would remember.
Many campuses have clamped down on the hazing stuff, etc.
At some point we've all wonder or DPC sent you here to throw fans off of what he really doing, if to close code is mistletoeNo I'm not.![]()
Lol i graduated while being apart of Vindicat!True, but I'm from the Netherlands. I do admit that I've seen some of the movies DPC got the basis of this game from (Porky's, American Pie, NATM, Grease, etc.) and I love all of them. Yes, their ideas aren't PC anymore, but then again, fuck PC (just like Derek does) xD
Yeah, they're one of the most well known and infamous frats in the Netherlands, but afaik they still don't have their own house/mansion like the DIK's/Tri-alpha's/Preps do, but only a club house. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.Lol i graduated while being apart of Vindicat!
Because it's part of one of the theories. But why is he naked when telling us his theories![]()
you never know
I remember that, didn't fit Quinn at all. DPC has a bad habit of using overly formal language that just makes the dialogue clunkier, idk why no one on his "team" has pointed it out. It's fine for Magnar (nerd), Tyballs (snob), or Jade (professor), but not Quinn or Tommy or Sarah or basically the majority of students. That’s if we’re not counting Quinn saying the words “Shortly thereafter...” which, I’m sorry, is just not a way I imagine Quinn ever expressing herself this side of an Ivy league debate contest.
As good as DPC's English is, he is not a native speaker, and sometimes the idioms are not quite right as well. Sometimes the cultural references are a bit Eurified as well. All in all, it's great, and not enough to break my immersion (mostly).I remember that, didn't fit Quinn at all. Very nice write up, forgot to comment earlier![]()
