Not really.

Motive: We already know he didn't like it that Lynette was dating Neil and he sure as hell won't be happy that Lynette died of childbirth. More than reason enough to "refuse" (and make people less wealthy and with less influence than him act like it) that Tremolo is his grandson.
Power: We know he is wealthy. Wealth is power, especially in settings like where BaD takes place
Actually we have reason to believe that he isn't wealthy. The reason they moved in the first place was money trouble. But even if they solved the problems and made a comeback, wealth is only power when what you want is for sale. Are you implying that Bella was just bought?

I doubt she was bought, she doesn't feel like the person who cares about money. It's more likely that she has been (emotionally) into that promise.

Also I'm pretty sure he made a pretty good comeback when the house was sold to the Royce's, and he probably only increased it from then on.,

Found this game for myself a couple days ago, and it is really great, thanks dev! Is it completed, or future updates planned, anybody knows?

The dev is now working on ep 12, the last episode of season 3 and probably a couple months later at most it will be released on steam.
Afterwards we get season 4 with a currently unknown amount of episodes and that will be the final one of the franchise.

Well that would be a crime now wouldn't it? Bella would sue him for everything he has and just give it all to MC.

And if by some stretch he actually had something on her why doesn't Bella's behaviour violate what was promised? If Bella can do what she does she could tell MC the truth.

1 simple answer of what we've seen a lot of already in Being a DIK: Corruption.

And we don't know what that promise/threat would entail. It could be that she can do about anything she wants, as long as she acts (at least in front of him) that Tremolo isn't Lynette's son.

It's not like I'm the writer, only thing I can do is come up with logical/trope/realistic reasons why stuff is happening the way they do in this franchise, based on about 35 years of experience with similar stories in all kind of mediums (for BaD college comedies and soap operas are most fitting), 40 years of experience in real life and about 6 years of experience with about 500 AVNs.

But how is the promise enforced? How is Bella's obedience monitored? What is actually stopping her from just doing what she wants? And why would he make her make such a flimsy promise? Why not just straight up deny all contact with MC?

You are now assuming that there is going to be a plot hole.

I have better idea: Bella, Miranda, Vivian and whoever else was friends Lynette do not know that she is dead.

Because MC was "destined" to go to B&R. With Bella working at B&R, there is simply no way to deny all contact without arousing suspicion, especially if she's also friends with Jill.

And how to monitor it? They probably have a way they get warned if MC is going to look for more information about Lynette thanks to him finding out through Bella. Stuff that he won't find online but is only kept at the city archive/city hall, like a death certificate or something.

I see no plot hole so far.

Or they just don't know that Lynette is dead or that MC is her son. Which is actually plausible.

Imo seeing how close their bond was, I would think that is the least plausible. That would mean that the funeral was only with her closest family. That isn't how funerals are done by influential families. They would at least invite the other influential families, to which we know Miranda belongs to (if Bianca is Miranda's family).

Not if they want to keep her death a secret. Which they can actually do. From Lynette's friends point of view she ran away with a guy and was never heard from again.

I don't think they would, at least not from their close friends. He hated Neil, but he still loved Lynette. Also Miranda and Vivian would try (and certainly would) find out the truth, because they know she would never skip town without telling them and even if she would, she would at least get in contact again after arriving where she and Neil would want to go. Viv might look like an airhead in the few scenes we saw her in, but Miranda seems to be quite intelligent.

Also it's difficult to keep such a secret hidden from influential families over a large amount of time. If they want to, they have the means to find out the truth if the have the time for it.

If they had such close friends that they would confide in them, those friends would in turn be close enough to keep their secret. Miranda and Vivian might make a great attempt at finding Lynette, but why would they look for a death certificate or a tombstone? Why would they suspect that she died? Would they actually go to the police about her disappearance or hire a private investigator? More than likely they never suspected that anything tragic had happened and Lynette had just left them behind. They were sad and angry about it, but rather than going to look for and confront her their reaction was: "Fine! See if I care!" And after a time they no longer did.

They might not suspect she died, but I'm pretty sure they would find the situation suspicious and wouldn't believe Lynette's family if they would say she just eloped.
Having no clue what really has happend, they would've probably hired a P.I. that they would be pretty sure of that he/she wouldn't tell Lynette's family about it, so at least someone from another city if not another county. That P.I. would find out the truth and tell Miranda and Viv about it.
