A couple more thoughts. In fact, Sage is essentially a trickster character. DPC presents her as a DIK character, but she is definitely a CHIK. She fully reveals herself on the path of CHIK, all her DIK actions are signs of self-doubt and low self-esteem, as well as a desire to gain approval from guys.

Sage definitely has a drinking problem. She prefers to drink whiskey on the rocks without cola, and she has several bottles of whiskey in her room. She started drinking heavily after her parents' divorce. I don't think her parents' divorce is a serious enough reason to start drinking heavily. In fact, if you think about it, Sage drinks more than any of the other girls.


We don't know how often Sage and Chad had sex. But Sage admits that she wants to have sex all the time. She let MC fuck her in the mouth and fuck her tits—these are examples of emotional sexual acts that were not deliberate, but impulsive, in a state of disappointment with her boyfriend.
In fact, before Sage and MC officially started dating, almost all of Sage's sex scenes with MC were quite impulsive.
1) Sex in episode 4 is a consequence of Sage getting drunk.
2) The scene in episode 5 is impulsive, quick sex.

Sage really needs approval from guys, and there are several examples of this in the game. She needs to feel loved, to be the one you need, she wants to help everyone and almost never thinks about herself.
The threesome scene with Sage and Camilla is an example of how she wanted to please the MC, even though she probably didn't enjoy it, as she even asked the MC if he liked it.
The MC fucked Sage in the mouth in episode 3—she needed to feel desired and like she could give the guy what he wanted.
Sex with Quinn and MС is another example of external pressure, but this time from Quinn.

Again, I don't have enough information and depth about Sage's character, so I have to fill in a lot of the gaps myself.

The example of her breakup with Chad is one example of her emotional instability. She clearly did not love him, but she stayed with him because of her insecurity and fear of being judged by those around her. She knew that Chad would leave her sooner or later, but she still took the breakup quite hard. Moreover, after the breakup, she fell into depression, even though she should have felt relieved. Perhaps DPC itself did not know how to portray a toxic relationship, as the relationship with Chad seems very unrealistic. As a rule, toxic relationships are like a roller coaster, with moments of arguing followed by moments of emotional intimacy, causing the other partner to experience a surge of dopamine, which leads to a strong addiction to this type of relationship. But the problem is that DPC didn't show why Sage is still with him. We didn't see any romantic moments that could somehow justify it. Sage and Chad are just... because. It's not even a relationship; their relationship is more like a friendship.
Due to fear of falling under the NTR roller, DPС did not name the reason and made Sage's character rather flat, which means we have to invent illnesses for her to somehow explain it.
But if we continue in this vein, there are quite a few examples in the game where Sage loses her temper. Even if we don't talk about her breakup with Chad, she doesn't take well to her father helping Maya and even bursts into the bathroom where MС is, and she lashes out at Quinn when she reminds her that she can ask her father for help.

Sorry, I really think you are reaching on these points.

Wanting casual sex after finding your long-term boyfriend cheating is in no way an indication of sex addiction. And having her mouth fucked and tits fucked is also not in any way aberrant sex acts.
Her early sex acts with the MC are due to the cheating and her needing physical validation. Keep in mind, her boyfriend has barely touched her for a long time and now she finds out that he is having sex with someone else.
She is naturally going to feel like something must be wrong with her and reaching out for physical validation there makes perfect sense.

And I still don't see where you think she has an alcohol addiction (your term).
Drinking whiskey straight and having alcohol in her room doesn't mean anything - just that she enjoys drinking.
I can only think of the one scene in the game where she is clearly very drunk - that Ep 2 first party where she dances with and hits on the MC.
- The HOT mixer we don't see her drinking at all until the MC brings her the whiskey.
- The halloween party she is drinking but is very much not drunk. She's perfectly lucid and is able to lead the costume competition with no issue.

I explained the casual sex - her self confidence has been shattered by Chad and she needs to feel physically attractive and wanted again. She even says it's just a fuck-buddy thing. It isn't until later that she starts to catch feelings for the MC.
You seem to think that there is some psychological problem with someone feeling like that.
There isn't.


As for the breakup, believe it or not people that have been cheated on and get dumped can still feel depression and sometimes take blame on themselves. This is not unusual.
Chad cheating on her just destroyed the self-confidence that she did have.
That's one area I probably agree - she does seem to have self confidence and insecurity issues.


You are free to think any way you want, but I don't see some of your opinions remotely supported by what we see in the game.

Well, I am doing one Bella/Jill route where I choose Bella in Ep 8 just because in Ep 11 the game kind of hints that there might be some future for the three of them (Jill lets Bella know that she has feelings for the MC and Bella and Jill hold hands on the MC's chest when they go to sleep in Bella's bed).
But that only happens if you had romanced both and broke up with the other in Ep 8.
So as much as I don't like breaking poor Jill's heart it's happening in that run.

She still gets all the warm fuzzy love in my Jill solo run.

Actually the flashback doesn't show them together. It shows Sage go after Chad and Chad ignoring her. They could be in a relationship, but it could be that Sage was crushing on him and trying to make a relationship happen. I would agree, I'm just looking at what the game shows us in that scene. At minimum, it leaves the possibilty of them never having sex open.

If they have been together for years without sex then I would hope at some point DPC has Sage explain their history and why she's been together with him for that long.

More likely it isn't meant to mean anything and we'll never really know.
