Many single mothers work as waitresses to support their children; it's a shitty job (I know from experience).
Working as a prostitute is to maintain a standard of living; the rest is just stories to avoid appearing what you are, a prostitute.

Yes, they didn't have sex, but let's be honest. Spending the night with a guy you've only known for a day is incredibly stupid behavior. Theoretically, the MC could have been a sexual predator and raped them in their sleep (though they probably would have enjoyed it).
We can't judge female characters by how they interact with the MC. The MC is the god of this game; all the women fall in love with him almost instantly. We can't assume that if Nicole jumped on his dick 10 minutes after meeting him, she'll do the same with other men. Just as we can't say that Maya and Jill will let other guys in as easily as they let the MC in.

We don't know all the circumstances. Perhaps the service sector where Nicole lived was underdeveloped. Perhaps she had loans. Perhaps Marvin was ill as a child and Nicole needed money for medication. There are many possible scenarios.

That's true, but it doesn't justify anything. Many women have two jobs to support their children and manage to do so without resorting to prostitution.

There are no waitressing jobs? There must be cleaning jobs, warehouse jobs, or supermarket cashier jobs.
I have nothing against prostitutes. On the contrary, I think it's great that they can do what they want with their bodies and their lives, as long as they are not forced (which does not seem to be the case).

What I don't buy is the story of “I got into prostitution because I had no other choice to feed my child.” There is always another choice. It's just that you might not like that choice, and it might involve waiting tables or cleaning stairs.
My mother was dirt poor when I was a child, and she had two jobs, and in neither of them did she have to sell her body to feed me.

And yes, we're generalizing here, but you know, Occam's razor and all that.
