That is strictly your opinion, as my own is mine. You will find more and more folks willing to be critical of BaDIK lately, and that will likely grow if he continues to follow his very poorly received review of Acting Lessons. Only fanbois really "LOVE" Acting Lessons. Most think it was ok writing, great renders for a first effort, and one of the best wingmen ever. The story itself-shit.
You cite in another post I had never been near a fire. Following my stint as an aerospace engineer, when Columbia burned up on re-entry, I was forced to find new employment with the US Department of Homeland Security. I have worked in and around fires, floods, earthquakes, riots, in the pandemic control unit, in domestic security, and hurricanes & tornadoes. I am no stranger to dangerous situations. AL had a bullshit premise that in no way could he haul out both girls who were side by side. With the Athletic trait, he should easily have been able to drag them to a window and toss them out. Would they be hurt? Maybe. Would they be dead? Not likely.
Back to BaDIK-
It unquestionably has a huge following. It has turned DPC into a prima donna who thinks he can do no wrong, and made him a millionaire. I am happy for his success. However I used to be a patron of his (banned for pointing out contradictions and some poor writing choices), and have bought this game on steam, I feel that qualifies me as a fan, even if I am not a complete fanboi. I feel that the following is true:
1-DPC is exercising some demons from his psyche
2-Should he continue on this path, he will lose dramatic numbers of supporters, and in future endeavors will find a much reduced audience willing to put themselves through his self therapy.
3- He could find much greater success if he focused on being the artistic part of a TEAM, where someone else writes the story, and DPC writes minimally if at all, but does all the artwork.
Basically the strong points of DPC all get washed out by his glaring errors, unless you are simply looking for fap worthy renders and anims. Even I, an unpublished author, could write a better story, and there are literally dozens of much better than me, authors on here, who would benefit greatly from DPC quality renders, while writing the actual novels themselves.
But it amounts to a matter of taste. I think you will find an increasing number of critics for DPC stories on here, the closer he gets to the end of BaDIK.
