Well, that only happens if you agree to help Sage learn guitar on the FWB path, which means it doesn't happen for everybody and is therefore not a "canon" scene since it's not universal. But just because that's not a universal scene for everybody doesn't necessarily mean that scenes with Sage are done on the friend path as there could still be some in later episodes.
Seems like I got a lot of reading to catch up on, but now that's exactly how it is very well put the voices of reasonThe branching is the most complex part of the game for DPC to do I wouldn't want to be in his shoes for that just playing all the damn routes is a strain enough making sure you've tried every option to see any differences and oh boy there certainly is.
But seriously, he should have done something similar to keep the interactions mapped. I hope not in the wall, though

The post you responded to was me crticising those who do dislike/hate M&J because most of them are likely to be hypocrites who wouldn't think there was anything wrong if they did the same thing as them.

OK, let's summarize this. Everything you do in the game is canon because there isn't a canonical path defined by the dev. A truly canon path would only appear if DPC ever makes a sequel assuming that one specific path was what actually happened in this universe. Until then everything is canon. What we have here is just branches and alternative situations, with some unskippable, fixed events that are central to the story and will happen regardless our choices. The outcomes of those events might be different though because of such choices. But everything is canon - or better yet, nothing is canon

but seriously real M&J fans don't take it so seriously because it's been there from near enough the start you'll get some sensitive souls making a big fuss about it but the real ones are more focused on M&J themselves and don't bother so much about the hate I guess some just need a talking point for whatever reasons.

Started playing this excellent game a week or so ago having seen a fan sig on a post for one of the few other games I follow.
I do have a question, one which has probably been asked and answered a good few times before, but with just under 4000 pages, doing a search just does not really work any more (this is where someone with a lot more patience than me proves otherwise).
Is it possible to edit the save files? I was using the guides and heading down the Maya/Josy path, however when it came to the critical point in chapter 4 , despite me having strong Chick status and taking the options to get me in good stead with them. I don't want to use one of the uploaded saves (though I did try them to look at the scenes I had missed - also they have high DIK scores, not CHICK) but would like to try and get on the right track with them (i.e. fix what ever variable I failed on in the save). I'm suspecting it was just a rare bug that tripped me up (a number of other times I did not get options which required chick status despite having a high chick score)
