To be completely honest with you, everything you've said confuses me. I literally have no idea what you're talking about. Projecting my insecurity onto you? What? The general consensus here is that the new update will be released around Halloween. Of course, it's all speculation because DPC hasn't released any real info regarding the release date yet. We can only hope it's soon.can we know what the timeline of DPC?

This will be my final status update for episode 8. It took a while to get here, but here we are.
Currently, there are 11 animations left in the animation queue. I expect them to finish rendering during the following week.
I've been playtesting and polishing the game all week.
Yet, I've only played the entire episode meticulously two times, in two different ways. I have several more playthroughs to complete, and I have yet to see everything the episode has to offer.
While playing, I wrote a checklist with 300+ things to fix and polish; this is common for every episode. I've been working on fixing everything on that checklist. I've added and fixed dialogue, renders, scenes, code, phone content, animations, and more during this week.
Next week I will continue to polish the episode and perform my personal playtests. I will also ensure that the save transfer between Season 2 and the upcoming Season 3 works as intended.
My beta testers and proofreader have gotten a heads up, and I will send them the episode as soon as I finish polishing it.
Before my inbox gets full of beta testing DMs: Thanks to everyone who offers help, but I do not need more help with beta testing.
After my team has started work and made progress, I can give an ETA for the Patreon release.
We are down to the nitty-gritty details of development, and that's also where the devil is.
I will post information regarding beta testing and release dates as soon as I know something more.

No, I was actually saying what GeneralCuiJM said more or less. He succinctly paraphrased my thoughts. In my example, I would have preferred that the player and MC felt slightly jilted by Jill instead of getting let off the hook through Jill's internal thoughts. Then how much better would it be when Jill has that morning jog to reassure the MC? I prefer show, don't tell as well. Although, I will certainly agree that it is useful and sometimes even necessary for expediency's sake. I don't think DPC uses it so much that it hinders the game either.I think the initial post argued about the opposite thing you're saying in your reply. It highlighted the importance and necessity of occasional depiction of characters' thoughts in parentheses so the players get the underlying motivation/meaning that was thought of by a particular character.
However, coming back to your point, I agree wholeheartedly that I prefer when DPC just leaves us with a concrete facial expression of disinterest/sadness/happiness and whatever other reaction that could be visually depicted. But, DPC, on most occasions, leaves the characters' thoughts to the players' own interpretation, mostly using the internal thought depiction for the MC. Still, when he occasionally does so also for other characters, I believe those are in 90% of times relevant and not dense enough to classify as 'overcharacterization' of something that could be depicted just by the visuals. I know some VNs suffer from that or use that trick in order to avoid creating some visual expression, but I don't think that BADIK is one of them as we have discussed before that DPC can successfully get the message across to the players by masterfully creating e.g. facial expressions of the characters
Minimal numbers, but the news is still pretty good! DPC completed a minimum of 11 animations and 0 static renders this week; it sounds like any additional animations or renders from the polishing process would have been negligible. You started off disagreeing with me by agreeing with me, but that's ok because I still like you more than the denialist narrowminded defeatist edgelord who will probably be miserable for a very long time. I think an option to toggle the inner monologues on and off would be a nice thing to add for the people who identify with the various female characters... I don't really think it's healthy, but whatever. As for everything else you said i'm not really all that interested in that part of the game, i'm more interested in seeing some actual character growth considering it's been 7 chapters and a lot of these characters are still static.You mean Jill's friend not sister. Bella is only her friend. Jill's sister is dead. And it wasn't meant to be comical, it was meant to be an insight on Bella.
About the internal monologue, i disagree, i find it a nice feature. In general i like them. As a note, they dont need to be necesary, most of the time they are not. But that doesnt mean they should be removed at all. In a book you dont need a description of the place where the action happens, yet they make the book better.
In particular I specially like Jill's inner thoughts. For two reasons. First, this one was meant to be comical. It's a clasic joke, where we seen a character struggling with himself by doing the oposite of what he/she wants. Not the best joke of the game, butnot bad neither.
Second, since it's a porn game, and Jill is a platonic relationship, thats her charm. We dont need Sage inner thoughts couse we have her pussy (the "real" thing). With Jill (for thoose who like her) we get a different thing. Platonic relationships work with fantasy. They are two people fantasising with each other. It happens only in the mind.
