Hey Rim Rockers,
It’s been 30 days since our last big update, and we’ve made incredible progress at RWA Studios! From the moment we set up our new office, we hit the ground running, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Today, we’re excited to share a sneak peek into everything we’ve been working on. So, let’s dive right in and take a closer look at the milestones we’ve achieved and the exciting projects on the horizon!
The Studio in Action
Since moving into our new “office,” we’ve been doing our best to make it feel like… well, an actual office!
Truth be told, it’s more of a home office for now—emphasis on “home.” My partner and I have pretty much dedicated ourselves entirely to the work, and this place has become a mix of brainstorming space, render HQ, and occasional living room. Don’t expect fancy setups just yet—we’re still missing a lot of basics.
The walls are bare, but don’t worry, character-themed artwork is on the way. Proper lighting? Not quite there yet, so it’s a bit of a cave vibe for now. And our dedicated render room? Still under construction (but hey, the machines are humming wherever we can fit them!). Oh, and a rug to tie the whole place together? Nope, not yet.
Here’s a glimpse of our wonderfully chaotic, still-a-work-in-progress space:
Every great journey starts somewhere, right?
What We’ve Been Working On
Rock the Rim
A Story-Driven Launch
The upcoming release of
Rock the Rim will mark the debut of André’s journey with a deeply engaging, story-driven format. For this initial release, we’re focusing on delivering a polished and cohesive introduction to the world of
Rock the Rim, where players will immerse themselves in André’s life, struggles, and dreams.
The first episode will be a comprehensive start, featuring
an estimated average of 1,500 renders across its three parts. Future parts are expected to include
1,000-2,000 renders each, with full episodes averaging
around 5,000 renders. This structure ensures a rich and cinematic storytelling experience for every chapter of André’s journey.
Refined Characters and Their Stories
In
Rock the Rim, we’ve gone the extra mile to ensure every character feels authentic, dynamic, and deeply connected to the story. From their physical appearances to their emotional expressions, we’ve meticulously crafted each detail to make André’s world come alive.
Here’s what’s new and improved:
- Realistic Height Differences: Every character now has carefully adjusted height proportions, adding depth and authenticity to their interactions. These subtle differences enhance the sense of realism, whether it’s a friendly conversation or a heated confrontation.
- Enhanced Facial Expressions: We’ve refined character animations to capture a wide range of emotions, making every dialogue and scene feel more natural and engaging. From André’s quiet determination to the sly smirk of a rival, the cast truly comes to life.
- Distinctive Physical Features: Each character’s appearance has been carefully crafted to reflect their personalities and backstories. From athletic builds to unique style choices, these details ensure every individual stands out and feels true to their role in André’s journey.
- Main Character Enhancements: André’s design has been further polished to reflect his dual passions for basketball and music. His subtle physical traits and expressions help players connect with his struggles and ambitions on a deeper level.
These updates ensure that the characters of
Rock the Rim not only look stunning but also feel like integral parts of a vivid, living world. Every interaction, gesture, and moment adds richness to the narrative, pulling players further into the story.
This refined attention to detail makes
Rock the Rim more than a game—it’s an experience where characters feel as real as the challenges they face.
Immersive Music and Sound Design
Music is at the heart of
Rock the Rim. From powerful, emotionally charged ballads to energetic beats that echo the thrill of the basketball court, every piece of music has been crafted to elevate the narrative. Paired with meticulously designed sound effects, the soundtrack ensures that every scene resonates deeply with players.
Revamped Visuals and Content
While
Rock the Rim doesn’t feature entirely new characters or environments for this initial release, here’s what we’ve achieved so far:
- Enhanced environments to bring André’s world to life with stunning detail and realism.
- Improved character designs for André and other key players, ensuring every detail feels intentional and impactful.
- Minor adjustments to animations for smoother and more dynamic storytelling.
These updates ensure a visually cohesive experience that aligns with the immersive narrative of the game.
What’s Next?
The first episode is just the beginning of
Rock the Rim. Each subsequent part will expand the story, adding new layers to André’s journey in both basketball and music. While this release focuses on delivering a strong foundation, future updates will continue to push the boundaries of storytelling and player engagement.
With
an average of 1,500 renders in the first episode and a full season expected to include
approximately 5,000 renders,
Rock the Rim promises a visually rich and deeply engaging experience that grows with every release.
This approach ensures flexibility while maintaining a clear commitment to delivering a high-quality, immersive experience.
