(2) is the legacy version, won't be continued
(1) is the rebuild which is in development. However, until CH1 is finished you'll have to restart it with each update, since the savegames won't stay compatible.
So I suggest starting with (2).

ps: On a personal note: We have no idea how it will be in CH2.
It might as well be that it's done the same way: It could be that you can import your CH1 save or start CH2 from scratch and have to do so until CH2 is complete.
Alexey is not following a straight forward route this time, it seems that each chapter is a product on it's own and if he feels that something should be changed at the beginning of the chapter, then he'll do so. I think that the "Chapters" will basically be what you know as "updates". Best would be to play the chapters only once they are finished.

Well, with unfinished games there's always a risk.
If you want to make sure that you only need one playthrough, wait until a game is completed. Some people like to be alpha and beta testers, even pay for that. Others wait for the finished product.

sorry for my english guys but am I the only one who thinks that the author makes mini updates to collect money and then in the end they are not that important updates? in your opinion am I wrong?
