Here are my thoughts on the whole patreon issue.

Watching the number of pledgers, it seems to me, that patreon is reviewing their creators for questionable content from top to bottom.

Since DMD from MrDotsGames had the same issues i wanted to link to his posts on patreon but sadly they are deleted.
He just started his own site and since he copes a month longer with the patreon issue, it might be a good option to watch his plans and contact him.
A quick google search for this developer further revealed that he seems to be getting involved with hatreon (no joke).

I think that PayPal is more to blame than patreon, cause they are the company with the strict morals.
Adult Games are a niche and therefore sadly the weakest link.

I hope that developement will continue!

Aaaaaaand R.I.P. well, that's a downer. It will be interesting to see what will happen to his patreon cash flow now, will we see a huge money drop or not. I'm guessing he believes in Glamour more then BB or he would try to fight more, like MrDots is doing.

Why all adult game makers who got screwed by Patreon won't decide on what new platform to use, instead of playing by Patreon's retarded new rules...

I really don't understand why patreon is cracking down on incest in these games. Is it even illegal? I know incest between real people is illegal in most places. But there are a lot of examples of incest between imaginary people in other forms of media like books, movies, and tv shows. Patreon even used Game of Thrones as an example of what they think is acceptable incest. So why would imaginary incest be legal in other forms of media, but in a game it is illegal.
A big reason for cracking down on it is that a lot of people equate incest with rape or child abuse, both of which are are big public causes right now. Look at #metoo and that gymnastics doctor thing. The assumption is that incest is always some man raping a family member, so any incest is bad, even in a fantasy setting.

And another one that bows down to Patreon wishes instead of using something alternative.

I have no interest in Glamour at all, so this will be my last month where i will be a pledge(untill he restarts BB because he lost the majority of his income).

I hope that this is just part of his plan to use Patreon for a little while for Glamour but meanwhile working on a alternative solution.
Because if it's not that.... Well.... It's just plain stupid.
The same shit is going to happen in a couple months with Glamour when Patreon adds new things to their No-No list..
Looks like everybody knows that this is going to happen, everybody except for all the devs... It's mind-boggling.

They continu to put all there effort into complying with Patreon's wishes instead of leaving Patreon behind, i understand that the income through Patreon is amazing but there are so many other alternatives that it's (again) mind-boggling that they put their faith in Patreon.... Amazing..

But then again... It's the motto of 99.99% worlds population at this point.
Rather wait for something better to come up instead of working on that something better yourself.

But i want to finish on a positive note this time.
Thanks DS for the year of amazing updates and amazing game, of course it has it's problems(like any other game)but for me this stays one of the better games on the internet.
Thanks :) ..
DS has already said that they expect that Patreon will also ban the workarounds some developers are already trying, which I agree with. As for alternatives to Patreon, right now there aren't many. Most alternatives to Patreon are going to run afoul of PayPal or banks that won't process certain types of adult income. A site could do it with cryptcurrency, but that's an extra hurdle for the casual fan, plus it would give things the appearance of being shady as hell. The public perception would be that any such site would be the Silk Road of hardcore ********** or the like. Of you may find other companies willing to host, but then you have to give them your credit card directly to some company set up in some tiny country. I wouldn't take the chance with my credit card.

Unfortunately, Patreon is only one rock stable platform. It's like Facebook, you may hate it but you have no choice.

Frankly speaking, I do believe in Glamor. I learn some harsh experience with BB and I hope I will be able to make things better/more attractive. And I will not be forced to switch game in the middle because of NTR/other stuff.

Best of luck with Glamour. I'll be watching the development of Glamour with great interest.
Hopefully we can see some more content for BB in the future.

I understand it.
And i really believe that you believe that Glamour is going to be amazing.

But after they are done with the No-No topics now, do you really think that that's it ?.
That they will leave you to work in peace?.
Come one, you can't be that naive..

I understand that Patreon is the only Rock Solid platform, but this stuff is happening since 5 or 6 months ago.
In my mind, that's more then enough time to create something alternative.
And it don't has to be as complicated as Patreon, but if just a couple devs would have put their hands together in de last couple months then there would be a "new" patreon already.
That is the thing that annoys me the most..... Instead of working together for something better, that almost everybody just decided to wait it out..

For the last couple of weeks a couple of previous collegues and me(financial support) are working on a concept for a adult site(2 of them used to work for Paypal so they know a little bit what they are doing) but that's obviously still a couple months from finished because there are many, many things we need to work out.
But we have done so many things in 3 weeks that i know for sure that a couple devs together could have created something already by now.

did you make changes to 0.13 as you found out that Patreon were blocking you think it might be final version or is it still how you originally planned it

I don't think Patreon plans on going after all adult content. The same people that are trying to get all the rape and incest off of their site would be the first to complain if, for example, gay content were taken off. Removing all adult content means Patreon takes a much bigger hit than with just incest. Developers that stick with subjects that are also legal in real life likely won't run into too much trouble. An exception would be BDSM. That's too rape-y for some people's tastes, and seems like it would fall under the category of "sexualized violence." Then again, so too would spankings.

And how are you going to have money handled on the new site? PayPal won't go with it. As much as I love me some adult content, I'm not trusting my credit card to a purely adult site, or to some intermediary other than PayPal, Google, or Amazon Pay, none of whom would be involved in that. I'm not going to go through the trouble of BitCoin or some other cryptocurrency. Games like BB did so well on Patreon because it allowed people to give somewhat anonymously and safely to stuff they wouldn't want to be associated with publicly. And can you imagine the fun that occurs when there's a data breach at some new site taking the banned games from Patreon? If people know I give to Patreon... no big deal. I can tell them I support writers and other content creators. But if my name and email address appear on a data breach from "Rapeon.com", then I have some 'splaining to do.
