max exploits his family for money, and is willing to sacrifice them for sex, I don't know if he really loves his family, he never demonstrated that for me, all he wishes is to fuck them all, all his actions and interactions points towards that. Of course the same is true for Eric, which is also a con artist

What Max wants is the sex...Nothing more! The only real issue with Max is DS couldn't come up with any way for Max to get any without using Blackmail and Spankings!
And that is all on DS which is what @a1fox3 was getting at.

Truth of the matter is there isn't one respectable or likable person in this entire game save maybe the Doctor.

Personally the feeling that I got while playing the game is that making Eric a con artist was just to generate an easy way to kick him out, mainly because fighting of his influence over your family until he is out of the house would have been quite a bit of work.

I would have liked more of a war between the MC and him and a bit of negotiating along the way, for example being able to limit him to only your mother by having him in a situation that he feels that your mother may kick him out of the house.

As I said to the other poster above...
There really isn't a single likeable person in this game at all.
They are all self absorbed, only interested in what they are getting out of something and use blackmail to get it when they can.

If Eric Friend didn't include Eric taking the Harem for himself then DS might have had a decent game in the end.
But DS just couldn't help himself he really had no inclination to make anyone likeable and I still believe it has everything to do with his opinions regarding incest that only TERRIBLE/SICK people would be involved in it...So he made everyone in this game simply terrible!

Use wine-staging, BB 0.13 works perfect as always on mac.

Which wine-staging version? Which wrapper?

I've tried WineBottler, Wineskin Winery with WS9WineStaging2.21 and WS9Wine2.22, and PlayOnMac. None of them worked.
