That constant bitching about Eric is really annoying.
I would understand it if you couldn't get rid of him but you can in not less than 2 1/2 ways. He is just an obstacle that needs to be removed before you can get what you want and I like that.
This character is part of the game and only a very small part on top of that.

Is it ever explicitly stated that he was killed though?
Maybe the mafia is just holding him hostage, doing forced labor or getting raped overnight everyday (my personal favorite).
I still think DS will end up bringing Eric back somehow and, as we say in my country: "Ele vai tá com sangue no zóio!"

Anyway, as much as the Eric fanbase says otherwise, I'm glad he's gone for good. I hated his guts and his stereotypical douchebag attitude. That being said, I do hate Max for the same reasons.

Max's behavior leaves a lot to be desired. But unfortunately that is how he has been written. DS could start to turn his behavior. Kira has told Max on a couple occasions about to change his outlook on women, and how to act around them. So in theory DS can start to fix that little by little for the updates to come. DS has said he will implement some romance so that could be the start.

As far as things are right now, Max is turning into "Eric 2.0".

Max is not Eric 2.0 in my eyes. Despite Max's behavior he cares for his family, I think. He just want to sex them as well. That is how I have read the story so far. Eric on the other hand just don't care about anyone except maybe his "wife" or who he was talking to on the phone. That is my take on Eric and Max.

Max's behaviour is a direct result of DarkSilver needing a push to start the lust between family members, then from lust to romance.
He already said he doesn't link romance and incest in his own mind. So the crap options that WE can have Max perform are DS trying to jump those first hurdles.

Each player see's Max in a different light, for me Max is doing it out of love for his family and Eric is nothing but pure evil.

Yeah, I agree with you there.
I'm writing an story that I'll eventually turn into a VN and it's real fucking hard to write an incest scene without being too cheesy, cliché or forceful.
