Once carrots are gone the seeds that fall off matters no more. Game companies the size of Blizzard has left and abbandoned way bigger projects then a silly little incest adult porngame. And DS is a 1 man show that currently faces this problem ..
Imagine you start to build a house. At 70-75% ready you see that this didn't turn out at all as you were hoping. (BB)
You start to build on a second house and this time you carefully plan it diffrent. (Glamour) Ofc you will finish the first house as it would only sit there and waist space otherwice, but no question where your true focus will be at this point.
He didn't even care to make a merge (as he promissed) in the last uppdate but instead royally screwed everyone who plays the game on the old olivia path. Nore did he once reply to all thoes who asked what he planned for that story in the future. Hes finished and his focus is elsewhere. He fears the loss of patreons and keeps a smile going to the public. As would I if my income would be based on it.
So do i concider the game finished? No... and it never will be.
It will be in the pile of R.I.P abbandoned halfdone games scrapyard with thousands of other titles before BB.
I'm sorry for all fans who might take offense at my words but i been around long enough to see this happens again and again. Even Mmorpgs that has thousands of players and a big gamecompany behide it can get scrapped for no reason at all. (Happened to me twice as i was playing them)
My hopes for BB is that he gives it a decent finale. 2-3 uppdates then finish..

But you do realize that making 30-40k$ per month the quality of the overall production should be WAY MORE higher than other projects which earn about 20k per year...
Many fantastic VN like "The Letter" are way better (technical opinion, not script or sexual content opinion) with way less budget in their hands...
I'm asking this because I'm still new at this having started last May and despite the unbelievable (for me) success of my project I still think I have a lot to learn from other devs and the public of course.
I'm trying to understand what ppl's expectations are. For example I wouldn't have thought ppl would think of developing two projects together as a bad sign...

Its because everyone see something else in the game, no 2 players have the same major outlook on the game.
Yes the minor outlook everyone has almost the same idea but each player sees something else that other players do see.

I feel the need to chime in here, while Im seeing both sides of this argument, a LARGE factor is being ignored. In regards to bestiality stories, let me tell you one about a man and a fish, or the one about the girl and the frog, or the one about the nerd girl that falls for a bison?!?, true that last one is probably a case of Stockholm syndrome but still... In case anyone is wondering, Im talking about Disney movies, Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog, and Beauty and the Beast. All of witch are romance movies. All of which technically would fall under bestiality. Now granted human transformation, etc, but the parties involved dont know that. Basically Im say you both have a point, animals in reality CANT be romanced, they dont have the brain function, HOWEVER, in fictionalized works like the aforementioned story about the lady and the t-rex, their is a good chance that the t-rex has been anthropomorphized to something vaguely human on some level, making it... a romance novel. There are A LOT of werewolf/dragon/jaguar transformation ROMANCE novels out there (most famous as of late being Twilight), and they work because human changes into beast, but its just as easy for a writer to go the other way and transform an animal to a human. Just like there have been many human to animal transformation movies, ther have also been animal to human, where the dog protects their owner, saving their life, wins back their family by gaining knowledge as an animal, (Shaggy DA anyone?), or some variation, and those stories could just as easily be made where the animal transforms, falls in love and goes back to animal, they just dont tell that story because it skeeves people out. Although they did make a movie where a woman essentially molests a child, and not only did no one have a problem, people loved Tom Hanks for it...Big. So a dog romance movie isnt out of the question, especially in todays world. Just need to point out neither of you is gonna convince the other because you both have points that are technically correct. The key word in the argument is anthropomorphic, if you do it, romance, if not, bestiality.

..If DS really was done with the game he would not go through the effort of putting Olivia in the game no matter what and a couple more paths.
I understand it from your perspective, i really do... But i don't see that happening with DS right now.
I don't see signs of rushing routes of something like that, more the other way around.
Is he going to divide his attention between BB and Glamour.... For sure.
But is he going to abandon this game.... No.... He would be insane to do that.
I stand by my opinion that this game will be getting content at least through 2018, maybe less after a couple months but still updates.

Of course you 100% right about the quality but we all see how EA release almost same game each year and still get incredible amount of money each year.Not to mention how many company do it like them now.

I understand perfectly. Blizzard are still running World of Warcraft even tho it makes a fraction of the cash it use to.
But DS is alone. If he wants to focus on his next project he has no other option but to finish BB or release halfdone crap uppdates forever to come. Blizzard can make 10 other titles and make up for every lost dime in a heart beat.

DS is not alone. He has some team. There was a post with his plans for this year I think and he's shifting his attention toward Glamour in a serious manner like in a half of the year. I might be wrong but I think end of the year updates won't be for BB. I just pray his new game will stay his for entire development time and it will have enough sandboxish-non-strictly erotic vibe in it (like early BB had)
I think he said that after the first half year in 2018 his attention is going to shift more to Glamour, BUT that they are still going to work on BB in the months after that, so smaller updates at that time..
I think that the MAIN paths will be pretty much finished in the summer, when he shifts his focus on Glamour(publicly) and in the months after that he will add small things so that the smaller paths will be finished to with some minor content for the lead cast.... That would make the most sense in my mind.
Of course i could be wrong and he could say in 3 months...Screw it.... It's over..
At that point if it's not done then i guess it's time to pick up my modding tools and continu

Depends how its done, if they both receive equal attention from the dev, and the quality remains high then no problem. The thing is thou that seldom happens. The dev splits their attention, quality drops off, either on one game markedly, or on both games generally. When it comes to game development, most ppl would prefer a dev focuses on one game and does it right, rather than half assing two games. There are exceptions to this ofc, but usually they're just that, exceptions.

Putting Olivia in was a major flopp. (He did promiss a merge) He actually just created a new character and story then used the old name and model from Olivia. No effort went into that. It's probably the most stupid misstake iv'e seen a developer do in a long time. He pissed off everyone who was (is) on the old Olivia path and i'm guessing paterons as well. Yet a single comment has be uttered from DS about this.

I believe you are incorrect and he did actually state that he was not intrested in incest. Don't remember the exact wording. It was around the time he added Eric. His bondage fetishism was just starting to be seen in game

I was talking there about Icstor, a different dev than Dark Silver, to establish that incest is its own genre of porn and not just a subset of the 'romance' genre. You are right that DS has said incest doesn't do much for him.

The point I'm making and you guys seem intent on ignoring is there isn't a single fuck scene in this game that doesn't involve some BDSM trope or mechanism!
Wanna fuck Kira it starts with tying her to a bed.
Wanna fuck Alice, it happens as part of Blackmail and spanking. The BLOG fuck is the only one where BDSM isn't a factor.
Olivia is the only woman in this game that you can fuck without spanking or tying her up. And he abandoned that and left it a dead end. It wouldn't surprise me to have her Mother tie her up to watch her fuck Max in the next few updates.
Most of what makes it popular (IMO) is the combination of the rendering which uses more HUMAN and realistic models as opposed to the over sexualized (Cartoonish, Big Ass, Big Boobs) you see in most other games. And the fact that he uses Unity Engine which is much better than the others. He has rarely had a game killing bug show up on release day. So it just works. That is a big factor in keeping customers. Hit them with too many game killing bugs and they will get tired of having to start over. Eventually the game is thought of as unstable (see a game like My New Life for example) that even if it had great story and gameplay people abandon it simply because they are tired of the crashing.
This game showed promise early but it has since lost its way. The story is vague, it is more of a BDSM genre story than an incest genre, and even after a year of development and releases you still have yet to fuck the main characters that have been introduced from the beginning.
He has created new characters only to drop them or dead end their progress in the very next release and his story is so vague all along that before where people could imagine their own ideas of what the game was about, and his inconsistencies with previous plot that followed has ruined that for most.
I wouldn't be surprised if many of the patreons he still has, forgot they are paying him once a month.

We know that high hopes and DS can't go hand to hand sadly.I expect he go full BDSM mode in Glamour 2.0,still can be fun if don't go into extremes.BTW there is a chance that Sin will make a sandbox game.And we already have some that can pass that criteria-Glassix.
