So we just need to play for hours and hours making no progress if not go backwards from the start of the game, while Eric fucks her until the developer finally throws you a bone to remove him and then you can finally progress. Sounds like some exciting game mechanics.
Maybe some FPS developers should look at giving some player only knives to play with for hours and hours only with the catch that hitting someone with it does 0 damage.

I don't know about you but for me it was fun and I have uploaded a save that is at day 111 if you want to bypass all that.

For one thing you are making progress in that you are building up your money so you will be self sufficient for the rest of the game.

Hmm, I feel the post Eric content makes you feel good. Nothing beats having your mom free and she really opens up to you. New options open up that make up for Eric, at least in my opinion. I am hoping for an expansion on Max's power in the next update and more in the future.

If you don't like that part of the game, there are other games that give you exactly what you want.... You get plenty of content for Max with Eric around, just not as much as you get when he is gone. The only issue I have with the game is money during the Eric portion. It needs to scale higher to make that section not as painful. There are write ups on how to keep money, but I just can't bring myself to ask mom for money. I do the chores, but I can't outright ask my favorite lady for cash. So, $10k cheat, here I go. Use it once, then don't have to do it again.

Mate, it's a 3DCG incest porn game. The reason there's probably so little Eric content in the last few patches is because every time he's brought up, people have this vitriolic reaction to it. You honestly can't even blame DS for seemingly having to change his plans on the fly because of how fucking nasty people get over it. Why do you care what other people want? I think the Reason I most HATE<<< yes I actually hate the Eric character is because he was impossible to thwart in many of the interactions when something as simple as eyedrops in his drink would have had the shit on the toilet any time he set foot in the house. but how to deal with him is not the issue. when you get accused of stealing thousands of dollars from him the issue is linear you get accused and there is no way out of the accusation which gets supported by your Mom < yeah great parenting there don't even consider the accusation as questionable. 2) you catch Eric with his dick in his hand you take a pic or make noise both options even though Eric is there naked and you are not Mom again doesn't believe you including not accepting a photograph of Eric jerking off at daughters window. see this is why the character is shit. simply put in a game like this if someone like Eric comes into My characters house and threatens them? there would be a shallow grave under new concrete of the basement floor.

It's better that you stay away. I don't think the world can handle another person blowing their blood artery because of too much hating on Eric. Too many people died already, and it's getting a bit embarrassing to explain cause of deaths.

DS did say he's starting up romance on 0.8. So maybe it's for the future. For the time being (up to 0.7), it makes sense to have no romance because none of the women really wanted Max. But it's always possible that the story takes a turn into more romantic as time passed by.

Hopefully this will be accompanied by Max being a better character too. At the moment, he is pretty much a complete loser and it's painful to see how he acts and reacts in the game.

Since @DarkSilver now actually reads this thread now, I'll just reiterate my earlier "wishlist"


The small talk doesn't have to be big, deep convo's. Just a small couple of lines that can be generic, or tied to the state of the relationship/opportunities without the purpose of progressing it.

Ann talking a bit more about her job. Movie-watching could be a bit more randomized with the characters commenting on it. Maybe a bit more random comments about Eric leaving.
Alice could mention things about the books she reads. Reassure nothing happened with Eric, depending on the state of the relationship. Or randomized comments about Max creating a shadow when she tans. Alice and Lisa could randomly join to dry the dishes when Max offers to wash them.
Lisa could talk about things happening at school with Alex and Olivia. Or comment about the results when you are or are not helping with her homework.

Just a couple of examples. Small things, loads could be done with existing CG, so should barely increase the workload from a rendering point of view.

Ultimately I think it would help bunch with the monotonous waiting-game which occurs after most opportunities lose momentum, and you are just daily ticking the mood-elevating boxes.

I'd kinda like Max and Lisa to initiate some sex on their own, when it's just themselves in the room. Shit, they sleep nude right next to each other! He's cum up her asshole and fucked her in the kitchen! Wouldn't it seem normal if every once in a while Lisa gets horny and slips over to suck him off, or Max does the same and starts eating her out? Maybe it'll progress from there into a 69 or ass-fucking in a cowgirl position?

I don't know about you but for me it was fun

Wouldn't it be much more fun if:
- the money grind wasn't abysmal
- you weren't forced to watch Eric fuck Ann in order to grind said money
- Eric didn't start fucking Ann, who's supposedly a prude at that point, on the first date
- limp-dick pills were in the game from day one and worked for a longer duration
- progressing on Opportunities didn't result in Eric fucking Kira, watching Alice strip for him or 'teaching' Lisa about sex
- or if the Opportunities' negative effect was avoidable (doesn't need to be easy) without having to consult a walkthrough
- Eric being caught red handed had actual repercussions

Avoiding progress on opportunities until you get rid of Eric and more or less hit the wait button for 100+ days to grind out the required cash is not an actual solution. Trial and error gameplay is not challenging - it's contrived. Once you know the correct choices it becomes an uninteresting grind.
Sorry for bringing this up again, but when the correct choice is to not interact with the game, you know you have a problem. I honestly hope @DarkSilver considers this and does some rework on the initial part of the game so we can have more options to deal with stuff.

Trial and error gameplay is not challenging - it's contrived. Once you know the correct choice it's easy. When the correct choice is to not interact, you know you have a gameplay problem.

It's not a gameplay problem because it was intended for players to interact and to actually have Eric be involved in the game. It is on purpose by design. However, there are people who didn't like that part and tried to find work-around on it by not interacting. The part about "not interacting" is not the intention of the game design.

I honestly hope DS reworks that part to give us more options to deal with stuff.

I honestly have no problem either way whether Eric existed in the game or not. But at this point, I wouldn't mind having DS to skip 1 month to go back and simply create 2 versions of the game. 1 being as is. The second being a rewriting of the story to start the game without Eric from the get go.
