Well, there are my thoughts on the update. MUCH later I may throw out ideas for what I'd like to see going forward but not sure. For me this month had some nice, poor, and bad parts. hopefully moving forward DS will produce far more nice and good parts while getting rid of the bad and poor.

Just some FAR to longwinded thoughts.

There is NOTHING clear about this story...Especially not in regards to Lisa!
She never seemed to like the sex with Max until you spanked her. And even then all she really wanted was for Max to give her and make her cum. All of the sex with her until now has been because Kira gave her lessons and Max has to remind her of that each time.
People asked for dates with Lisa...DS gave them that nugget and then quickly established they were never going to be fully romantic just sexual. Because he can't fathom a romantic Incest relationship he has admitted this time and time again. All incest as far as he is concerned is due to desperation, mental instability or blackmail/leverage/rape.

The story and dialogue is just so poor and non-sequitur that you can imply any meaning you want to it because it is just that lackluster and open to any interpretation you want. It's written the same way horoscopes are written, generic can apply to anything you see fit to apply it to and as a result people make these assumptions and when something happens to break up their idea they complain.

Kira herself basically calls out Lisa as the "lady that doth protest too much, methinks" to quote Shakepeare. That's the text. I mean her not enjoying it is just you putting your own impression of shit into the game too. Which is easy because the writing is fucking awful

Now as to the romance, angle that's pretty much why people are complaining because even back in 0.6 she was talking about wanting romance saving her first time for someone she liked, etc. Now that doesn't mean she thought of Max romantically at that point. But it's called setting expectations. When you bring something like that up, it's a signal to players that romance is going to be the next big thing on the Lisa route. So you can forgive people for getting annoyed at the curveball that was thrown at them from 0.9 onwards.

But as you said DS is a pretty terrible writer. I mean this is the guy who somehow unintentionally created one of the most hated NTR characters in the genre. While, mind you, he wasn't actually intending to do NTR, as you so love to point out. Is it any wonder he pisses people off without any solid understanding of what he's doing wrong, especially when he doesn't have the writing talent to do what he wants to right.

Or all her blind faith in eric earlier even when you present evidence? DoD atleast uses magic/mind games that fit its own narrative, the CG quality and variation is much more, Your choices take different routes in the game.
Compare that to BB , there arent any choices. Most of the time whatever dialogue option you choose has no change. Their personalities are inconsistent from scene to scene update to update.
Have Alice get punished from her smokes,tell mum you will punish her later, Punish her in her room when she is by herself and its all good. Lisa kept the 'i want love, i want bf and i want to go out on dates' then you go out on dates and she abandons it. She isnt even your gf anymore, because suddenly her loyalty is toward Alice. Why? Because abuse of a cheap plot device 'Alice n me have never been close, now i have a chance i dont want to piss her off'

BB isnt consistent with itself its own characters and established background, there are other ways to put variety in Kate/Alice relationship or any pairing. These are just gimmicks to advance some of the incoherent story.

Keep in mind this is an update, not the final game. New options/ways to deal with situations may come, for instance. And the new content is just paving the way for yet more content, which will ultimately lead to Max getting himself a harem pretty much. But it can't happen overnight and sometimes unexpected hurdles come in the way of your meticulous plans.

Also, Lisa is not "intellectually challenged". She is merely playing her younger sister card for one, and the SexEd stuff isn't so much to "teach" her than an opportunity to have a good time together - but for obvious reasons can't go all "we'll bang okay" instantly. Kissing sessions that end up not requiring persuasion, or better yet in the Olivia GF path, she openly admits to being very interested in sex and wonders if she is as much of a pervert as Max.

As for Ann, she already strongly hinted to knowing it was Kira's idea but was both against yet interested in doing it. In the end, if Max manages to be persuasive enough, she decides "eh screw it" and choose to accept that lame excuse to fill the gap Eric's departure left in her life. Speaking of, Eric was smart enough to always be on his best behaviour with the family, except Kira and Max who knew better. So honestly speaking, who would you believe: the successful good-looking man with a good position and trying his best to please Ann and her family, or the jobless jealous pervy overprotective son who was caught in a scandal, dropped out of school and now spends his whole time sitting at home doing nothing productive?

Let's see how long this will last, after all DS is aware that it will not be able to keep the Patreons for long. The fact is that several times he complained about BB piracy here on that same topic, aware of the players expectations about Max and Ann. I hope he understands how soon that his opportunism will lead him to a path with no return...

As for content that is coming, we will see. DS isn't great at updating older material, or shit like that. Even if you give a pass to the incomplete Eric section, we haven't gotten anything new with Kira by herself for ages, we still have a lot of scenes that made sense at one point in the story but no longer do, and we're still dancing the same fucking dance we have been for months now. We've had ages of slowly corrupting Ann, Lisa, and Alice, and Ann is still more or less following the same damn pattern she has been forever. Every scene can advance things in only one way, then cue the repeatable sex scenes that you end up seeing so often they become boring. And anything new that gets added lately just screws up the characterization even more.

And then we get 'believability'.

I swear if I hear the term 'believable' again in the context of fucking family in this game I may just try to find a rifle and clocktower. This game has NEVER been believable, at no point in its entire development has anyone looked at BB and said, "yeah, that could happen". Because Ann deciding it's a good idea for her kids to spank each other Naked, yet suddenly get weirded out when her son wants to fuck his sisters is believable. Like the entire section with Eric taking over the house and all the girls, despite evidence, CLEAR evidence that he was trying to fuck them is believable.

BB gets off on the slow, slow burn because some people like that, but seriously, Ann at this point should pretty much be beyond her compunctions. She's been giving her son a handy for months, is currently sucking him off once or twice daily, has been eaten out by him ON CAMERA, is totally cool with him fucking his sister up the ass ON CAMERA and she's just slightly annoyed when she catches him eating her out. DoD is not the final game either But its still pretty consistent with its own story till now , compare that to 11 version of BB there is barely any story consistency. The new content whatever it is is always some one else dictating the terms, It wont be Max's harem at all. But Harem for all the other girls that just LET max fuck them if/how/when they want. They were hints of 'feelings' towards Max but thats thrown away now. Max only is considered just a big toy dick by the rest of them, which is conveniently close by and doesnt require compensation nor any emotional investment.

Erm yes "Lisa" is , There was still whole task of buying the book n giving it to her and then helping her watch porn so she knows what is what, I dont mean 'we will bang okay' It was a counter point to DMD's daughter thing, Kissing sessions are barely touched, actually there is no foreplay at all.

I took this update as an opportunity to start a new game right from the start, cheating just enough to avoid most of the - pretty annoying - repetetive stuff. I had played through it before quite a bit - with the help of the hints and walkthroughs here - and thought I remembered enough stuff to enjoy another complete playthrough.

Without any doubt this game has many great story elements and graphics. The setup is fun. What is really lacking are hints how the story lines unfold, where there are crossroads and where choices mean blocking out content, deciding for one path and against another. I found the restart extremely tedious, of course I know there's some saves around, and I will use them because I want to see the new stuff. Somehow I got the idea that the developers/modders could see to a better way to guide decisions made. And maybe find a way to get it less repetitious.

Don't get me wrong - I am grateful and I have had my fun with the game - actually only with the mod and the cheats, I just don't have the patience and time to repeat the same actions/days/weeks all over again.

Well obviously, after so much time spent corrupting Ann, she will allow it. In fact, she wants it too, but needs an excuse to do so. Know Yandere Simulator? Yandere dev had an issue with his game taking 90 seconds to compile and load every time he wanted to test new stuff. As a result, he'd easily find himself the excuse "I'll just watch a youtube video while it's loading", excuse to avoid doing something he didn't like anymore (luckily it's changed since). This is the same psychological process, but for "banned stuff that you really want to try". The eros from doing something forbidden is far greater than the eros of "we'll bang okay" - which explains many plotlines requiring persuasion then no longer.

For Lisa and the book, it doubles as fapping material. When Max gives her the playboy magazine, she's like "uh... I wanted fap material genius". Also, before the lessons start, it's strongly hinted she knows perfectly what Max has in mind. She even warns him against stupid requests. She may be inexperienced and playing her "innocent young sister" card, she's far from stupid and voluntarily goes along Max's plans, but tries to do so while keeping control over the situation if at any point she decides she wants to stop.

Lastly regarding Ann, I agree with you. Partly or not, dunno but when you say you don't really care when it happens so long as it makes sense story-wise, I'm 100% with you. Why partly, because this happening due to the other characters pulling strings may not be the only way this will be achievable in the end. If it is the only way in the final product, then I'd join you and say "yeah no, this forces the player unto a roadtrail in a sandbox game". And the trauma or backstory with the father, don't know enough yet to say anything so it's in the air for now. Hopefully it'll bring good (as in interesting/entertaining) developments.


Edit: And I have to edit because DeUglyOne's comment is... very touching. It's a shame for the old couple, accursed drunk driver. But both couples are pretty much why I don't knee jerk to incest like I used to. I may not have any interest in any sibling of mine, knowing that some people would go against "common sense" and general opinion just because they love each other that much, I find it truly heartwarming. They have my best wishes and I hope they stay happy together!

i have no idea, why people still expect some kind of love relationship between the family members, it's all about lust and sex and nothing more.

I was taking a lot of the "subtext" between Alice and Max as a possible romantic relationship, or honest feelings from her for him. Lisa talked about romance, but her actions spoke the opposite. Alice on the other hand outwardly seemed to dislike Max, but privately sometimes dropped what appeared to be hints that she was falling or had already fallen for him. That's part of the reason the blackmail twist at the end of the last update didn't sit well with me, and this update isn't either. It's another case of the character not being who they seemed to be, and DS actively steering things away from anything approaching romance.

There's been more than enough time in the game for sex with Ann to be believable. All it takes is some half-decent writing. Ann should be less reluctant than Lisa to actually have sex with Max. Lisa has her virginity at stake, while Ann has experience and is much more of a submissive. Whether Max is her son or not, it could be believably written that, given her past, once Max started paying the bills or something, or taking over the punishments that she started to lose her remaining inhibitions or felt the need to "thank" Max for taking her of her. I don't want it to be exploitative of her, or to mess her up more. In fact, I wish DS had never introduced that part of her history. I'd much prefer Ann without all of the baggage. Regardless, it's completely believable that by this point in the game sex with her could have occurred.

Sex with Lisa should have occurred too. Maybe she gets so turned on that she just gives in at some point. Or more than likely based on her character, she just gives Max the pricetag on her virginity and it's up to him to pay it. Maybe she underestimate his financial resources, but can't say no when he does actually have the money. That's not how I wanted it with Lisa, but that's what is consistent with her character.

Actually at the beginning it actually made sense. You had the abscent father and the abused mother and aunt so yeah you could actually had Max showing Ann evidence about him trying to fuck them and she could still be shielding herself because she was living her trauma by being with Eric.

Everything else that happened with him it didnt matter its like having a courtcase and showing a judge some pictures and videos that still its not enough proof. You could never see Eric having sex with Alice and take a picture on him.

IT MADE WAY TOO MUCH SENSE but then he went to the shitty writing you actually enjoy and well thats how things are now... and by the way incest does ocurr and yeah it does happen a lot of times through blackmail that involves a lot of low selfesteem and a shitload of guilt that most of the times those people are not even aware off and well theres more things about it that you could actually read .

One thing that DS got VERY right this update was to make as many images as possible repeatable. Which is great in a game with some many one time events that feel wasted after. The fact that this was a suggestion that I made just make this improvement better.

Oops, forgot to give praise for the repeatable scenes. TY for pointing that out.

Also was GREAT that we GIVE pleasure to Alice and not just take. That has been an issue for some time now, and hopefully DS will continue to expand that aspect so Max can give to all/most of the others.

I guess my biggest issue with the BAD parts of the update end up being: 1) changes were to big in the story/characters. 2) The changes happened to quickly with no buildup to even hint it would happen. 3)Sadly, Alice wasn't very consistent, she behaved very differently during the various new scenes.

Honestly, for me the best parts were the doctor visits (though Lisa shouldn't have been involved in any way there), and the evening TV watching (NOT the punishment parts (bleck)).

For someone who claims to have quit their job and has 2,667 patrons ($5 per patreon being at least $13,335 per month) should release much more content than the average of 30~40 renderings per update. You do not have to be too clever to realize that the content of game updates like Dreams of Desire and Dating my Daughter are much more relevant, even though they both have different gameplay than BB. I've helped DS for three months with $40 until I realize that, and honestly I have no interest in contributing again.

You know that he past 20K $ before he have 1700 patrons and before the release of 0.3?I'm sure now he makes more than 30K $ per month.I agreed he is given way too much money.Money that can help other games get bigger and better-DoDana,PL,MSN,API,VoF etc.And you are right about DoD and DmD.I actualy have more fun with the VN style now than the "sandbox" in BB.

The point is that these contexts were simply left behind by DS in the latest updates, and they are necessary for the development of the story. The script rhythm works just like a roller coaster with slow climbs and extremely fast falls, not like a hand spinner in your hand and never goes away. If DS wants tells the story and develops the game slowly, that's fine, but do justice to every penny of the $ 20k of your patreons.
