Most of those Japanese games have the girl getting the ever loving shit raped out of her too. Which I doubt many western fans would be for, especially since to many like to insert themselves as the MC.

I don't much care either way, it depends on the title, and my mood I guess. I care less about render quality and more about whether or not the game and writing is good. I do think that @DarkSilver is kinda misreading his community a bit here though.

That's fair enough. But you do have to admit they are late additions, and most times, late additions aren't often taken up by the existing fan base (Olivia is a bit different, I am also pissed that the fucking story with her that started in 0.5 will never finish either)

It's just not something I see mentioned often. I think it is safe to say, most fans saw those ladies as a distraction at best. Or, more likely, the stalling tactics they clearly were.

Hey, things change no doubt, but the markets ARE different, and there are some serious differences in Japanese and Western tastes in a lot of this stuff.

And yeah, there are 50 hour VN's with no or very little sexual content. My response to that is the following:
1) They have an actual story. Basically, if you're game is going to take 50 hours, it had best be at LEAST as good as Fate/Stay Night. Nothing from the west so far has come close.
2) Japanese games are overwritten to high hell. I love VNs, but a lot of them, FSN included would be better with about half the text. Many VN writers in Japan make Tolstoy look downright laconic.

I think all the doom and gloom over Glamour's having a female MC is unfounded. Considering how many male gamers use female avatars in RPG's (MMO or not), I don't think Glamour will have a problem finding an audience while having a female MC. Sure, DS may have to court a new set of people, but it can be done and that audience does exist. Who knows, he may even pave the way for the other pitifully under-supported female MC games here like GGGB and Milf's Tale to find audiences of their own. Porn Hub's aggregate stats show that "lesbian" is the most searched and viewed porn category in the English-speaking world (especially by women), and "porn for women" (which heavily centers around female characters) is probably the fastest growing sector in erotica, so there is every possibility that Glamour surpasses even BB in terms of audience and drawing power.

DS will lose patrons with Glamour. How many is a mystery. When it comes to female protagonists not many games come anywhere close to BB. The most successful is Good Girl Gone Bad, but even then its dwarfed by the support of BB and Summertime Saga. I hope DS can change things around for female MC.

Good Girl Gone Bad is one of my favourite games, but has incest in it too. Patreon will be going after Eva soon enough, i'm affraid.. This whole thing with Patron sucks.

And then there is the bigger problem of fans like me who have been waiting for Lisa's virginity being pissed off. Had that been actually handled, in a non milking way ages ago, then honestly with the banging of Ann in this update, even if the game was put on indefinite hold, I don't think that many people would be pissed. Because let's be honest, no one cared about Vicky, or the new Olivia and her mom story, or even the doctor that much. But the Lisa thing really stings.

Had he said, look we are transitionsing to Glamor, but we will at least finish up the big threads in BB, to give it a decent stopping point, and I think people would be a lot more willing to give Glamour a try.

If you're using Winrar you have to accept the changes to application once you close the game, should pop up on winrar after.

Having a female MC will turn people away for sure, now, should it turn people away? Well, yes, nothing wrong if playing a female MC is your thing, but I know it certainly isn't mine, and you can't tell people what to like or what to play, specially on a porn game where certain things will turn some people off. I won't even try the game.

knowing DS and his male characters, we will have a bunch of assholes and blackmailers, that's what I hate the most about female protagonist games, it's always the same, all man are assholes that seek to take advantage of the MC

Well, doing a mod is some work and even if a modder (e.g. me) has time to do that, there are still some issues.
- How to add locations?
- How to add other rooms?
- How to solve open threads? If the side effect of the pill should get removed, there are still the old scenes ingame, so they have to be altered too. It's not easy ... i studies the assembly-sharp for some hours, but i don't have see a way to do that, (yet).

Even if some content can be added, it will still stay v0.13

Sure they will... I bet some will just move to whatever game is due to be released next week.

DMD was thinking in similar way. I do believe that semi official patches will be banned as well. And Patreon will start to ban games after couple of reports.

No you can't be involved in the patches yourself...But you CAN make the game patchable so some other person (perhaps someone you know) can patch it back to the original incest theme.

In fact why not talk to one of the modders here who have added and changed huge sections of story to your game for some help on this front?

I'm sure they could easily make a mod that turns this game into a non-incest story (perhaps a boarding house) so you could continue to at least finish off the the few scenes needed to make a proper ending, that could just as easily be modded back to the game you currently have. As long as you yourself don't release the Mod there is little Patreon can do about that.
