I don't think DS has officially given up on it, although as someone said earlier, there's nothing to stop someone from making their own continuation of it. It's not like DS is likely to sue them or anything.
The problem with someone else taking over is that, as flawed as it is, Big Brother is flawed in very distinctive ways. Someone else would maybe fix the flaws, or flaw it in different ways that might make a better game, but not make it feel like an actual continuation. It would be like watching a sequel to a movie where the creative team has changed. It can have the same characters, but it's hard to capture the feel of the original without the same people behind the scenes as well. TCMS made some great little games based on Big Brother that are actually better than the original in a lot of ways, but it's kind of like two cooks trying to follow the same recipe. They're not going to come up with the exact same result, and even though the second one tastes better, the first one is what you grew up with. So it's kind of cool that TCMS is going to create their own game, because they'll be able to make something in their own style.

I understand, I, too, grew up with how the game turned out to be But, as I recall, someone said that the game derailed from the path it was promised to be or the promise it had or something. As you said, it will not feel like the same game, but IF someone could pull it off, hitting those promises of the early version of the game, without making it feel like a different game, I would definitely buy it, I know it's just wishful thinking, But even if it was somewhat close to early game, I would still try and think will Enjoy. BUT even more importantly, IF DS continues on this game, maybe If we can show him enough that we want more of this game, perhaps he would continue on this game.
Of all the games here, I spent The Most amount of time on this game, which is why I might sound unreasonable passionate about this game.

The day they discover mind control will be quite funny, but well at least for now mind control games aren't banned.

I just didnt know how hard for you, exp players, is mod vanila game, zip it and post link. But ok a try it AGAIN by myself and hope its gonna be ok. Oh and no, its not that like somebody here sas u just put mods where .exe is located. So thank you again.

@Landru it's hard to be such an egocentrical person...
A forum has rules, if you have a question how about you go to the right place to ask?, if you want to mod a game OBVIOUSLY you have to ask on the thread of that mod and only if you have problems after reading the instructions.
And then you double post just to tell people what to do, if people on this forum want to talk about whatever they want then so be it, even more I find more important whatever is being talked rather than your crypost.

If you had spent a fraction of the time you spent whining on this forum, downloading the game and the mods you asked for, you could have saved yourself some time and everyone else the waist of board space.

One last thing: Dont forgot have discussion about that if the game is complete or abadoned or legal or ilegal over and over again. No matter what its just ended. So lets go, talk about one thing another year and dont help newbies with serious quests
