Didn't one of the last posts he made on his blog before closed it for comments say something about he had to deal with the death of someone in the family or something in near future. So maybe just life happend.

I heard the reason he stopped was because Russia changed something and was really hard for him to collect the money from patrons or something like that, if you want to look in detail there is a post on his SOB game.
