That's pretty bad reasoning from them seeing as how players are already being rewarded for being grabbed.
I don't get why developers make rape games and pretend like there's some big philosophical quandary. You progress, you're rewarded with more enemies, it's pretty simple to grasp.
That said I don't think this game needs a game over screen anyway. Better to leave it to imagination or onscreen animations.
Yeah, pretty much this really. I'd prefer rather than say, a game over screen that they just let enemies grab you while downed, though I think the idea is that upon defeat you are pretty much "dead" as far as getting beaten goes. If they did however make sex attacks/animations capable of putting you into a game over state, similar to the big guy's inescapable grab, then I think that'd be a pretty good way to go about it.
Hopefully they do wind up implenting more with the infection system, like a game over/looping animation with whomever pushed you over the limit once the meter is completely filled. Still, it is pretty punishing as of right now, if not a bit annoying to wind up heavily slowed down as well as the blurred vision. Good ideas that do wind up punishing you in the long run if you're actually trying to finish a run with said downsides, though, in all honesty? It's fairly easy to play the entire thing without getting hit/grabbed at all so its almost something you have to aim to let happen if you ask me. Especially since, at least with the higher draw distances, you can see enemies long before you enter their aggro radius, and even then a lot of enemies like the ones that spawn directly in front of you in the mansion don't react fast enough to hit you before you can get a few shots in to kill them. Still, the AI is definitely a step up from the previous version, where pretty much the entire mansion was just a stand still shooting gallery save for a few enemies.
