For the record, Benito Mussolini was a British agent. He was paid by British intelligence service to promote warmongering propaganda and British interests in Italian newspapers during WW1; in 1917. he was paid 100 pounds (around 10.000 in today money). No 'conspiracy theory', it's the mainstream history: mainstream British media wrote about it (although a bit shy, I wonder why? maybe because the Father of Fascism worked for Brits). Most likely he was killed on Churchill's orders, probably because he knew too much...
all nothing to do with this game tho, but 'when in Rome'...
Or MAYBE because he allied with Hitler, participating in the Spanish Civil War and then in WWII while exterminating jews in his country?
Who knows? The two options seem equally plausible
And yes, Nazism and Fascism took elements from socialism and hated capitalism, for example.
In Spain, you read texts by fascist leaders from the pre-war era and they'd be almost indistinguishable from a text by socialist leaders if it weren't for the defense of the Catholic faith. They were basically Catholic socialists with a love for national traditions, so it was quite a weird mix. And they hated racism, btw.
