I agree with you on your comment, even if the initial situation and premise of the story didn't set up anything very special or original, the female protagonist was enough of an interesting and pretty character to make us curious about further developments and potential partners who might be involved.
On the other hand, the developer's prolonged periods of silence, the lack of regular updates, a brief statement on the state of the game already several months old (on his patreon page) followed by the announcement of a new game are not, in my view, very good indicators for the future of this game and its projects to come (if there will be any in the end). In any case, it's hard to believe in the developer's credibility to keep his commitments.
It's certainly a pity that this person shuns her audience, buries herself in silence and seems to be abandoning a project that looked sympathetic, even somewhat promising. Interesting stories featuring a female protagonist are definitely too rare, and that's to be deplored. The few that do exist are too often, for my taste, classic porn, the overexcited or corrupted girl forced in a very short space of time to have sex with literally every man who crosses her path. Lesbian romances and relationships are also very rare and often poorly written or very uninteresting. All in all, it's a shame, a total waste, and we'd better move on and wait for another project of the same type by another author to replace it in our expectations.
