I'm going to try and combat this by spreading the benches outside the villages as well. For example, I'm currently working on implementing an Alchemist Hut in the wild, where the player can both learn the Alchemy skill and use a public Alchemy bench without having to prove his worth and enter a new village. That is a cool idea on paper but think about it: the player is suppose to be confined to the goblin village until he up his status and then get to start entering the next one (that is at least how you describe it in the story) rise repeat. but what about the player who chooses the 3ed village public workbench as his start crafting skill then he will have to struggle with doing other stuff to when he can buy a workbench making a public workbench pointless or try and rush thru the villages to when he get to the one with his crafting skill.
I also have a similar idea for a Tailoring store. Construction and Artifice on the other hand I haven't really came up with a solution for yet.
That's exactly what I was trying to go for! It just kind of fell flat since it takes longer than expected to make new maps and expand the world. I also planned price variations on goods depending on what region they were sold in, like say higher prices on ores in other villages because they don't specialise in them, etc...But if the player can still go to the other villages (once they are added) for trade and stuff but only lives at the goblin village to start that can inspire the player to work hard to get the workbench so he doesn't have to travel all the way to another village to do some crafting. Some player will see this as annoying I would maybe say it would be kind of immersive, as in olden times you sometimes had to travel or send word to another town if you needed help from someone with special skill.
Yes, many races are planned! I'm currently working on Werebat enemies and the next datable Heroine will be a Tengu. Elves are definitely planned, they will be the next major village... well them or the Orcs, it will probably be put up to a vote when I get to that part. Both Orc and Elf villages are planned.Really enjoying this game. Since it records what you lost your virginity to, I'm guessing there's going to be other races in the game? I'm a big fan of elves personally.
There's quite a learning curve to this, if you just go blindly into combat you're going to struggle even against rats. But I'm now at the point where I wish there were enemies stronger than werewolves so that I could get more battle EXP.
Have you defeated any Pyrodons? They might be a bit tougher than a Werewolf but they do yield the same EXP though. There really isn't anything past Lvl 2 in any of the combat Specs at the moment, aside from a stat boost when you max out at Lvl 5.
