The pickaxe can be forged or bought on the upper floor in the mining house. The mining house is the eastern most building directly from where you leave the zone with your house.
The skill can be gotten from the goblin on at the entrance to the mine in the same house if you have 500 money or haggle her to 350 and you also need 100 crafting xp. It can also be bought from the succubus on the second floor of the brothel every saturday, if you have 0.1.2 version of the game. Or you can be extremely lucky to get it from a chest, random chance.
In the village there is an exit to the west/left that leads to your house.
I have a question:
When I choose character every background is said to come with a bonus.
When I have chosen noble or street I have not gotten the skills they are supposed to get, only the 10 VP from commoner register in my stats. The urchin cannot even pick locks without me first buying the skill in guile.
So you guys think this is not implemented yet or is it just a passive bonus added to the roll when you have and use the skill?

Just read the book in the intro area again and it does say it is a bonus to roll. My bad for not reading thoroughly.

The easiest way to get a pickaxe is going to your house, meet with the former owner there and choose to get a pickaxe from her. If you picked the charisma book in the tutorial and went for persuasion you can even ask her for more and get a construction bench for free.

Head east the moment you enter the goblin village and enter the last possible door. Looks more like a tower for me than a normal house with several floors.
I have been thinking that they live there since one always spawns at one of the caves

They can actually spawn quite some way to the south but if you lose against them the game tells you they move you over to the cave to have sex with you which is quite the spoiler where you can find them later.^^ Maybe the cave leads you to a secret valley and they live there (both in the caves or somewhere hidden outside would be ok for me) but we shall find out in future builds.

This game has amazing potential and reminds me of classic isometric rpgs in how many skills you have.
I'm going to parrot what a lot of people said though and say that the game does need it's interface, inventory, and it's controls cleaned up first though to make the experience better

Found a bug that makes a lot of money. Requires perception skill to do.

You need the acrobatic skill book for that. You can get it if you bring the goblin in the prison tower 10 honey. You can get them by defeating the bees in the forest, buy honey from the merchant (have fun reloading the game until she has it in stock) or learn the construction skill in the tutorial, repair the bridge in the forest and farm the bee hives for honey. The blacksmith can also repair the bridge for you but that costs you 5000 cash and some other items.
Or you wait until saturday and give the lady on the second floor in the brothel 2000 cash for the skill book.

i did it with the two in the prison with the goblin and in the brothel ,but there is no acrobatic skill book till now , and the goblin dont asked me about honey , im i forget something not did it?
