Does anybody have also problem that items (nuts,feather) does not respawn in forest? I downloaded game from creator website v. 0.1.2. I think when i played v. 0.1.1. these items did respawn.
I think, the same with chests, that there are a max certain number of these things that can spawn. If you have not build the bridge or found the ´secret´area south of the village, all the nuts, feather etc. Might be there waiting to be picked up before spawning randomly other places. I had the problem in the beginning that all the chests that had spawned were locked after a while and I had no guile.
The game does have potential, but right now it seems geared towards a long painful grind. The inventory is a mess, something has to be done about that; and not just a simple sorting. Should be divided into separate categories or something, having to find anything in there is a nightmare.
The 'traveler' npcs should be better optimized, I once found a 'merchant' and on another playthrough a mage. No one else, no priest, thief etc.
I agree, many things need optimizing and to be streamlined. Inventory, as you mention, is a good example. I also find the enter and escape buttons to be a bit annoying when I am used to Z and X in other RPGM games.
Would also be nice if you could make multiple items at once when you craft, maybe a bonus for higher skill level.
Making cloth for example is a lot of work. Planting flax in my garden is, if I quick button the seed 1 click for putting it down, walk off it, turn towards it and press to choose it and the press to confirm to water it. Then when it´s grown I press it and press again to harvest it. So 7 presses for 1 plant. It yields about 5. So 20 plants times 7 button presses for 99 flax. 140 so far.
Then at the crafting table it´s 6 flax for 1 thread and 6 thread for 1 cloth. So I end up with 2 cloth and 4 thread for 99 flax. Which takes 18 crafting minigames which total in, not counting moving up and down in the crafting menu, 41 if I count correctly.
All in all that´s 181 presses for 2 cloth. Whether or not I am off some numbers it is still a lot.
Waiting for the rain to plant shaves off much if this, so never plant anything until it rains.
And also all the metal hoops, loops and chains for the armors.
I really have no good suggestion for these things other than crafting multiple of one item. I understand they are supposed to be strong and an investment to get.
But I still love the game and the creator seem to have a good understanding of systems and what can be done with RPGM so I am hopeful.
