IDK if there will be black souls 3 because I haven't played the 3rd DLC, leave that question for the ones that finished already they probably have a theory if there will be a sequel, however, there is a next Red Hood game set in place before Black Souls 2, a prequel.

the creator has already posted on ci-en (or twitter, don't remember) that they do plan to make BS3, but before that there'll be 2 spin-off games.

The former Crawling One/Prickett helped you escape. She was whole before Tea Party abruptly ended, but then she was separated from her body and ended up as Prickett. Now she exists as a partially independent part of Crawling Girls.

Soul is a someone's essence, lifeforce. By consuming someone's soul, your own soul becomes stronger. It is an easy explnation.
As you mentioned there are characters from H. P. Lovecrafts tales, but I can add to that fairy tales of different fairy tales authors like Grimm Brothers, Hans Christian Andersen, Sharle Perreau, you know, Cinderella from BS1, Red Hood in BS1 and BS2, etc. I also suspect there are Stephen King and Robert W. Chambers' influence. I won't tell why, too much spoilers.
