Hm, this game confuses me everytime I try it. I chose options to make a shy loner that is interested in girls - and every time at college, she makes out with random dudes? Even though she has a girlfriend. x.x

The Dev has a creative understanding of human sexuality. Claire can't be exclusively hetero/homosexual, she is bisexual, all you can choose is which she prefers.

Where is she making out with guys being interested in girls?
Only by giving full details can I fix situations like this. The 'canon' Claire is hetero, so writing is done with that in mind and sometimes passes miss moments that might need bi or homosexual options.

Might I just make one single recommendation, instead of assigning Claire with a hard coded ethnicity; there should be a choice made where you can choose the specific ethnicity such as 'Slavic' or 'Scandinavian'. I say this because it would allow for the chosen name to reflect in the ethnic background of Claire, instead of her being named something that doesn't relate to her given ethnicity.

- I went the nerd route so she tongue-kisses a dude during twitchcon at a league tournament (first option when looking for a fifth player I think).
- During PostGrad, Andrew mentions that she will get plenty of dick in college.
- During College, this weird music thing with choices rock on / ninja turtle - she makes out with some dude in the crowd.
There were probably more. Just seemed weird to me, that a shy girl (at least according to my chosen stats, I hope) is this slutty. Even more so when she has someone close to her.
So I've been peaking up the game's skirt and found this is the possible sexual partners:

It makes sense for a game set in the United States. As per an earlier comment I have tried to be specific about issues I have found in the lesbian run so far.
The lesbian route seems a little busted in the prologue which is all I have tried so far.
If you pick multiple sexual partners in high school even if you choose only female characters when selecting a new partner, it always makes a comment about the previous partners sex as if they were male.
(Ava had Plan B on hand because he preferred cumming in me.)
The single sexual partner in high school also seems a bit busted if you pick a girl as it implies that you have had sex with multiple men later?
(Sex to date had been a minefield. It came out of nowhere most of the time and, man, the feelings in the moment...I had made some really dumb decisions.
That I had not gotten knocked up so far was a miracle, maybe thanks to some rhythm, thanks to some OTC help, thanks to luck, didn't matter why. I was glad.)
I bring these up specifically as they are choke point problems that would likely occur on any type of lesbian attempt.
While I found many options that lead to undesirable outcomes for a lesbian only attempt, it was possible to find routes that did not involve kissing men or otherwise describing your attraction to boys if you try enough. While this might be undesirable if you want to create a specific type of character and why I abandoned trying to make a nerd character it is to be expected for an additional option to the game and something that many here are probably used to if they try this type of run on many games on this site.

I appreciate the suggestion. While I like some parts of The Fixer, I actually find their system to be incredibly fiddly and confusing. They have the 'shifting traits' on the surface, but they don't seem to actually matter in game play. It's a lot of clicking the same thing again and again (ex: working in the bar) until you get the desired result.
I see where you're coming from in terms of the reduction of traits -- maybe that will be necessary (and easier to do than adding) in the future -- but for the time being, I've found each of them to be unique and used in different places and don't see a need to pare down at the moment. Your opinion on which are similar is well-taken, and if there was a reduction, those would likely be the ones unified.
Surface-level descriptions are for hotness. Check out Karyn's Prison for the most obvious example, with loads of traits (that are modifying the gameplay, although in an avalanche kind of a way) that all get their own descriptions. As for gameplay, porn games are weird in a sense that you go hunting for scenes instead of progressing the game, well, you have to choose between the two, and so the balancing gets torn between providing scenes (counts of which authors put in changelogs) and "gameplay opportunities" (which don't turn up in changelogs).

I'm not sure what you mean by "shifting surface traits." If you mean, energy, mood, and attraction, that's not what I'm referring to. I'll try to be more clear in case there was a misunderstanding.
I am referring to the character's written descriptions in the character menu.
The Fixer's character description changes as the character changes, like the color of their eyes and hair, the appearance of her abdomen (if she's tone, fat, or pregnant), how revealing their outfit is, if she is a whore, slut, or baby crazy, etc.
For example, if the player character gains the whore perk the flavor text will update to reflect that, "I have become accustom to selling myself." If they have the slut perk, it says, "I have as much fun with men as I please." If they have both it says, "I love sex. I'll fuck almost anyone for pleasure or money. Usually both."
I recommended looking at Fixer because of even though the flavor text is irrelevant to its own gameplay, I think it would be useful to Blue Swallow. The descriptions are purely flavor in Fixer only because the game also shows the player the perks and stats - which you've made it clear you want to keep invisible. That's cool. But if the planned Blue Swallow dossier used flavor descriptions it would be both functional and flavorful at the same time because the player gets an idea of their Claire's inclinations and aversions as they're updated throughout the game, including the prologue.
For example, if Claire doesn't like taking risks, it might say, "she likes to play it safe."
If she is a mild risk-taker, it might read, "she is willing to try new things under the right circumstances."
If she later becomes a big risk-taker, it updates to, "she likes to try new things, even if it's probably not a good idea."
If she ultimately delights in taking risks, it might say, "she goes out of her way to do things most people wouldn't normally do."
As far as I can tell, this idea checks all the boxes. You do not have to reveal the hard numbers to the player, and the player feels less blind. If you like the idea, I might even be willing to volunteer to write some of them for you if needed the assist.

Can you ever win the music competion? It seems like no matter what I do I just get 4th or something as an individual and 3rd out of 4 as a band. Also, I don’t think the choices I make really impact traits or skills.
for the modeling path, I’m not sure if there are options, but I always just end up with the lingerie shoot. I thought I read there was a nude shoot or some other variation. And do any of those choices change stats?
btw, really love seeing the prom dresses. One question, on one play through I got a variation where Claire was being groped by her seven dates as she was changing in the car. But I’ve never seen it again. Was I imagining it or are there a set of choices that changes this up?

Can't speak to the exact reasons why you came in last at the competition. You can currently come in second, but that's the best you can manage.
Modeling path has a 'naked' shoot if you go to the Seedy Casting associate and follow a few paths.
The only prom dress that gets your dates handsy or other sexiness is the very risky one which you hide from your parents before getting to change in the limo/taxi with your friends and date(s).

From the earlier question there are far more options for prom than what I encountered. if it is a problem with the selected origin or stats my character has, i am more than willing to get back in the tank and meddle around with it until I find a combination that works as i am quite enjoying your game.

Another prom question. Claire mentions that the parties can be dangerous. Is there a path where Claire encounters some kind of dangerous NC stuff at the party? Maybe going stag and going to the wrong party alone? I’ve never explored the going stag options
I saw that with the risky dress. But I don’t see the passage I’m talking about all the time with it. It’s something about how she’s unzipping and her dates are grabbing at her then there’s the usual passage about the chaperones disapproval.
I think when I don’t get it, it’s because there’s a paragraph about Maddy’s dad wanting to take a picture and her trying to get out of frame.
How do you unlock the finishing school sex scene/s (aside from the body count section)? That's the only postgrad part I haven't figured out yet.
There don’t really seem to be many decision points for finishing school other than which person you befriend and what you do in your off time. The most interesting thing about finishing school to me is that it’s one of the only places you can choose to reduce your stats.
I wonder if the sex scenes are more determined by the stats you bring in than the specific choices you make.
