Dr. Oseo Bones is the toughest nut to crack I know.

He may take a while to publish his updates, but he continues to work on them at the snail's pace that characterizes him. He has neither abandoned his project (for the moment) nor does it seem likely that he will.

In theory, he will update his two games within 3 months unless he has more problems along the way, but in case you don't know, the priority is his health and his personal life, which is why it takes so long.

We are SO far past well wishes and understanding. There really is no leg to stand on for bones at this point. There just isnt. By all means, if you somehow still believe and want to support, thats your prerogative. But dont for a second pretend like this is just a need for patience. Dude is lazy, plain and simple.

I wasn't talking of that stones xD Health troubles isn't just fisic, can be emotional or mental.

In reference to the second comment calling Bones lazy...

Well, I respect that, certainly. Think that if you want, but I'll argue otherwise based on the following. Someone lazy doesn't create two (incomplete) games and work on them for more than 3 years with more than 15 accumulated updates.

How long does it take? Yes. What has missed dates? If right.

On some occasions he will have been delayed for health reasons, other times for personal reasons and others simply because he didn't feel like it. I'm not trying to justify him, but rather reflect on whether he really is a content creator who ''squeezes'' his donors and the answer I come to is no.

Porn, in general (videos, images, games...) is quite harmful for both creators and consumers. If you consume little, well, I don't think there is much of a problem... But even if you have a girlfriend, a family and healthy hobbies, if you consume a lot you are altering the functioning of your brain, and not only in terms of porn but also how you interact with other people. Content creators, after a long time developing and creating, can feel saturated without understanding why. And maybe Bones (and this is what I was getting at) is neither lazy nor has he lost the desire to do it, but is currently at a stage where he is not mentally stable to create and develop.

In short, I am not defending him, on the contrary, I think that if it is so difficult for him to continue, he should stop trying and take better care of his mental health. Not for you, for his donors or for me, but for himself.

I don't know if you understand where I'm going. There are artists who dedicate their efforts 100%, it is profitable for them and they meet their dates. Bones seems like a person who works a lot, has a lot of obligations and barely has time to dedicate to this shit...

But lazy? No. You just have to look at the piece of game he has developed with The manor.

I agree with you in that I don't think lazy is the correct word to describe bones. You are correct someone who has started 2 games and put out a number of updates is not lazy. An you make some good points in regards to his physical and mental health.

But here is the problem. If as you claim he is unable to work either do to mental of personal reasons, then it is dishonest of him to continue to receive money from current and future supporters, and act as if development is continuing as normal. That is one of big reasons why he is so vilified. It is not a good look when you start banning people for making inquires into the state of the project they support. Especially when you leave people in the dark about what is going on.

Now I can see needing to take a few months to get your life and health in order. That is understandable. If he at any point said something along the lines of " Hey everyone have some bad news to share (insert health/mental/personal trouble here) so development is going to slow down/stop for a little bit. If you want to stop your pledges then by all means do so. I hope to get back to you later with some more positive news." Or if anything went past several months a statement saying that he is temporally stopping automatic payments until things are figured out. A number of other devs have had to take time off for a variety of reasons. Some of have closed shop, some come back.

But you don't find many devs who refuse to put out updates or information on the state of the project for over a year and act as if development is still continuing. So are right in that he is not lazy. What he is, is dishonest. An in my opinion that is worse.

considering i remember playing this game for the first time over 17 years ago.
this aint the first time he's gone dark for an extended period of time.
from what i remember he said a few times getting art was always the problem.
sadly enough he's always been detached from the fan base.

anyway new question, has anyone here messaged him offering to help with the game? artists and devs?
He specified before that his aim is to do the project by himself, like a "pet project" kind of thing where he won't like to have his vision challenged, taking all the creative decisions himself , etc.
