Right now on this thread, you have people "Oh shit will this have ntr that shit was good" and people "will this have ntr? if so will never play the game again #NerdEmoji".
But I believe the breaking point was the "5-day early access" and it was up for Patrons first and it got leaked here despite him owning the Thread and him being there every day.
I do not agree with him on this, because well F95 is F95.
Most people here will provide no meaningful criticism most of the time they would just complain about something the dev would answer, and they would pretty much just insult the dev for either having a different view than them or not wanting to do what they were asking. (Not all mind you, but this was definitely 90%+)
The game launched without a female Blair, only the trap version, he got so much backlash from the sexually insecure he actually made an entirely different route and female Blair was now an option.
He had puzzles for the sexual events, he got flamed because the IQ of some people are so low they can't really handle a simple "15 puzzle" (And his version was a 9 Puzzle which can be solved in like 10 seconds)
So... he added a skip mechanic.
People complained that the RNG wasn't on their side and that skipping the puzzles would give you no money.(This was a issue that I never think got fixed?) But regardless he added an "easy mode".
Literally, an easy mode on a dating sim. XD
Pretty much he became the bitch of F95 and after all that he still got shit on for things like "game is so fucking bad with these trash ass puzzles", even though the ability to skip them was added ages ago.
The Harem situation is more of a personal critique of the game, he added an objectively bad harem ending.
This isn't an opinion this is a fact, but this wasn't really part of the drama.
He snapped and quit F95 and dropped the game, another game to be abandoned like the majority of the games that show up here.
Not only that he also had some other issues going on at the time.

He came back and apologizes for his behavior, still doesn't care about F95 and will just focus on his own thing.
And he completed Braveheart Academy and went on to create (imo) a top tier game which is God's Call.
This is fucking rare as it is, to abandon a game, come back, finish it, and continue doing what they do.
(Even though they are being paid absolute jackshit not going to lie and is currently in his last year of university)
God's Call also had its issues with F95 due to the futa protag/pronouns but he wasn't here already so he lost all the good fun and memes that went over in that thread
TL;DR He is a good dev, made shit decisions, and definitely derailed Braveheart Academy 1 nearing its completion.
But always went out of his way to give the most to his players, so they could enjoy the game regardless, giving options and different ways to interact with the game(Skipping Puzzles, Easy Mode, etc...).
IMO he definitely should have had a thicker shell when coming to F95.
However, he learned from that fiasco and improved himself, I'll always respect him as a person because I never expected him to be back and I didn't expect him to go on and create the banger that God's Call is.
It's easy to see the bad where he went completely ballistic, but let's not pretend he hasn't done more than most devs out there.
Especially being a small-ass creator.

The only problem I see in this whole drama is, and you are free to correct me if im wrong here, was because of this of you so called "not providing meaningful criticism". And where I agree with you on this part, I only see this on specific threads with a specific fetish. As you can guess its NTR, like ALWAYS. Sure there are some drama about forcing a LI to die as to secure another, or that some grind is to much. But most of these complains rather die out quick, if not are overshadowed by all the different fan theories or helpfull hints what to do next.
Because from what I could understand this was a "great" Romance game, with great LI which had good paths for each girl but also provided a Harem Path until him adding NTR. Tho it seems its avoidable and is more of a bad-end and was done by a high paying supporter but this was enough for others to get obviously get angry and made fun of him. Like it seems he snapped because of this but it was mostly the last straw, not the sole reason. But its not uncommon to say stuff like changing, removing, destroying only to spite the fans -> Im not talking about Porngames but in media generall... Pornhwas has this problem since it ever got popular.
Like I mentioned I remember playing God's Call, which back then when it released didnt had female/futa protag in the tags, hence I tried it. I made fun of the MC face and propotations because despite HS2 models issue, I was confused how you could have turned a male this feminine. As it turned out this was done on purpose I saw how the thread got really spicy lol. So I also understand some hate from this site but I stopped playing after that.
Kinda odd when you say that he abandoned it when I think I can recall I didnt saw that long ago a update of that game.
From what you said with what the dev. offered he sound really like a generous and good dude. But if he derailed and put that bad Harem end I understand that after he "finished" it, he creates a new game which is also a sequal, and people are already reminded on the bad blood happend in the previous games.

And the game was abandoned he closed down this Patreon.
I went fact-checking in the thread and it was in September of 2020.
He came back to finish it in February of 2021.
(Half a year later, and he completed it by September of 2021)
Either you've forgotten the years of covid, but that was completed almost two years ago now.

It's okay to be reminded of that, it did happen.
But the fact that he came back with a clean head, finished the game, and even started working on a sequel shows more of his passion than his prior mistakes.
But I agree with the sentiment that people did not like that he left out of the blue, me included.
We've had a full year of God's Call up until now, although that game is not for everyone, you can tell he puts a lot of effort into his games, not to mention the attention to UI/UX gaps most if not all games I've played recently.
(At least new releases, there's some exceptions of course but most devs don't care to make it look good.)
I hope the development of Braveheart Academy 2 goes well, and best luck to the dev on this task.

I was talking about God's Call. Im pretty sure I saw some update this early year. But you are more know in this game so maybe Im really mixed up the dates.
Personally I dont have a horse in this race. All I can treat this game/dev with some suspicion but it seems he is nothing like the dev. from "who is the father". I personally will wait for more updates to see if its all worth it. The trap is not my type so I will wait for other to try it out and look then if its a game for me.

You can turn the trap Riley into a girl and she has a completely different model.

It's really little more than the LIs talking and saying why he's been dating all of them at the same time. I don't think I ever got to see it entirety, as at some point I got so pissed off that I closed the game and deleted it.
Personally it was incredibly frustrating. I only see one ending, so I'm not relieved that the rest was very good. That ending made me end up hating the game.It looked rushed and just bad overall, it didn't even feel like an ending.
That "ending" was pretty much all the girls in MC room talking.
The individual endings were really great, going into their future versions with new models and new houses.
We could have had that for harem but he fucked us man
EDIT: The rest of the game was still good, some scenes could have been better but it still was an enjoyable game.

Exactly, personally I would have preferred him to say, "I'm not going to do a harem ending" to the ending he did. I would have fully respected the former and gone on to find another game. But that ending felt like "I don't want to do a harem ending, but I'm going to do something that I'll call that to annoy those who like these endings". That may not have been the intention, but I felt it that way.That I understand 100%.

Alright, so if that's all out of the new girls we can kinda of assume some fusion of these two endings is the canon ending yeah? Given his disdain for it, i cannot imagine the harem ending is the canon ending but these girls existed once and now again so either there's a retcon or it has to be assumed their father is the MC from the first game.That I understand 100%.

The people itching and complaining was true which was just stupid in the first place but if they had waited then the female Blair would have probably been added later on.
Most of the people complaining wasn't happy with anything being added so I can understand why the dev gave up for a while. It wasn't the best option to do plus didn't get any fans with that decision but it happened for a good reason.
My thoughts: "oh! I played the first one and thought it was nice. Let's see what's going on in the thread. It says v1.0, maybe they'll discuss how close to completion it actually is"
and then I came across the drama... so much drama.
