the game really needs to take a step back to the drawing board. i understand that the dev wants to make a progression system, and it can be enjoyable When Properly implemented. the way it's now, it's just a chore. there is no story to uncover, so overarching plot, just running and fucking around.
oh sure the 7 sins are being added, but for what purpose? annoying us even more in the open world? i'd understand the appeal if THAT is part of the progression we work towards, it would make sense that we try "remove" those annoyances to get a calmer world where we got more control over. like imagine this world being in shambles due to the 7 sins running amok, each of them hiding in one of the various zones, and each one we placate, the calmer the world gets. thus get a more sandbox feeling or "finished the game, time to play god" feeling.
would be nice goal to work towards, if we had any other goal besides "unlock places to get more nephelym". we got quests to breed certain monsters, but those only exist to farm cash, once we got all buildings cash becomes downright useless. breeding ain't Optimal, because even if i have a legendary monster, the traits are more likely to be dumbed down rather than passed on, why can't it be like: both parents got the same trait, one has it lvl 1, the other level 3, if the child gains that trait, it's always the highest level one, thus, kids always get the lvl 3 trait. that would make breeding fun and actually makes us try to get a monster of a sex-machine.
then, we would have to get upgrades to improve the breeding, so we can pass down more traits, like, we start with a farm where our monsters can only pass down like 2 traits tops, and once we upgrade the number goes higher and higher, until we start pumping out utter sex gods.
next, it would be cool if, when we lack the needed skillpoints to capture a nephelym. we can't we send one of our nephelym instead to fight in our stead? we don't have enough strengh to capture this legendary foxen? time to send in our vulwarg to take care of things. thus, legendary monsters would actually be legendary because they make capturing monsters easier, and we save time and energy since it's not us fucking.
my thought process is really only; if the dev wants to add as many roadblocks as possible, then make working towards that worthwhile and give us a good story or something else to work towards other than "more monsters to fuck", yes it's a porn game, story ain't important, but it's still a porn game, if a game ain't fun to play, why bother playing at all?
there are many ideas flying around that could make the game more fun, and for gods sake, let the monsters spawn anywhere with increased chances around the main spawn points to the world doesn't feel so empty, in fact, how about each time we unlock a new area, those monsters are then enabled to spawn around the world, like, at the start we only encounter the vulwargs and foxen anywhere on the map, and once we open the dragon area the dragons can also spawn in the open world. but have a meeting place in their area. again, if only to make the world less empty.
