Honestly there should be a patreon policy against forever-games like this.
That will never happen, that's not the sort of website patreon is. Patreon allows practically anything in terms of when or what exactly gets delievered, as long as it's not something credit card companies hate (whose dick Patron sucks religiously) it's fair game, there are no quality controls.
I mean for context, even Steam, the best gaming host there is and probably ever will be, only recently added a note to EA games that are in EA for I believe 5 years or longer. If Steam takes this long to do something about it, Patreon or all the other donation websites don't stand a chance.
