Hello. Back on forum for a visit once again to see what's what. Yeah they kick up a stink when you bug them for progress because... let's be honest... there's none. Derelict cut out all the dev's that were actively helping and contributing because he hated other people having input. It's basically a one man show at this point. Even still other dev's have said he is capable of doing a hell of a lot of progress in a day so it's widely (and safely) assumed that he has stopped giving a f**k about this game a long time ago.

If this game is to have a future, it's likely going to have to be through modding... which the dev and moderators actively will seek and destroy whenever it pops up... or is even mentioned... he is going to have to get off his arse soon enough as his paid subscribers are vanishing very quickly now. Even devout contributors are shutting their wallets and unless significant progress is made they won't open up again.

Which reminds me of another sandbox game that can be found on this forum: Lifeplay. That one's totally dead since 2 years ago, with everyone having no idea about that dev's whereabouts. That game still has certain discussion with the help of people who's active in that community. They help add mods, and someone even tried to "remake" that game at some extent.

No, you most likely confused him with the developer of another one-man project (The Last Barbarian).

As regards the dev of BotN, he himself often talked of having some mental health issues, as an excuse.

I, personally, don't really buy that, and I assume he's just being lazy, same as myself and many other people out there.

They know if the game is open to modding, the cash flow they are getting through Patreon will very quicky fall flat. The dev wants to keep the game firmly in his palm and control any content for it. A few modders could concievably actually have this game finished in a matter of months and introduce a cornicopia of new variants through it's very well built character creator (Which is probably the most valuble asset for the game). Hell even I could write a more engaging breeding system than simple RNG. All he's done this year is add a new character, some new sex animations and the bare concept of clothing shop. (Although I don't know if the clothing will add anything to the game past pure asthetics.) No new variants, no new quests, no new areas to explore, not even an endgame goal. Hell even throwing in hidden items to discover and collect would be better than the "Fuck all" we get every half a year or so.

There's been too many breeding games that have fallen victim to a failed development or an endless cycle of life support, hence the term "The Breeding Season Curse".

Oh yeah. This game is still one of my personal favourites. There's still a bunch of minor things to fix but the dev is focusing on the content first and the asthetics later. Immaculately well designed game if I do say so.

Unless somebody around here has an earlier copy they don't mind sharing, you're going to have a hard time.
One area you can get earlier versions from is from the patreon.
But you got to pay to even see those links so...

I don't believe I've seen anybody successfully port an old version to a new version -- and work.

What I do not get is wanting to pretend to be another guy...you know, like, a role play, and not invoking yourself as that character.

Its not that deep, some people like futas more than males, i do, and i only like women irl, with futas and females only you have all the sex possible that you would have with a male while not needing to look at a male.

playing as a male.

when i play a porn game i don't want so see other males, same reason why Skyrim characters are 87% female, you can see the same trend in every game where you get to choose.
