That's simple. Any lesbian scene can be interpreted as a warm-up before the male breeder arrives and inseminates both females.
The same can be said about cunnilingus between a male and a female: it's just a prelude to real sex.
However, lesbian acts still count as a mating behavior.

Both female chara will lose their lust once they've done scissoring.

....how?
It's an easy concept that's been in practice for years. You make a place for mods and you have enough brains to not post about it on official channels. If that sounds like a dystopia, then "intelligence" will soon be treated as witchcraft.
It's ironic that a lot of intelligence is treated as witchcraft.
It's sad.

Yep. That's an example of the dev's illogical approach. Yet there were even more stupid decisions from his side.

Do you remember the time when pregnant sex was not allowed, which made leveling female characters a pain in the ass?

And, if it was up to me, any sexual interactions with NPC should cost 0 lust. Also, female characters should spend lust at a lower rate than male ones.

And I am not even talking of the issue that the dev, from the very beginning, should have implemented a kind of crafting system, so that we could craft potions from the extracted liquids and give them to nephs to replenish their lust. Would that be too difficult a task?

If you need to breed again, you can rest at the house.

Resting in the house means you lose the rest of the day. This may impact your progress on time-limited quests.
If you are doing radiant quests. Those quests have very little rewards.

If you fail a timed quest because you were not prepared for the resources, then that's on you for playing "SnowWhite" all the time.

So I'm really curious about this. Let's say someone did a mod and that some idiot went and asked about it on Steam. If the mod is posted on something like a private forum, what could the dev do about it?

All this talk about the dev being against mods really puzzles me, because how much control can he really have on this?

I mean, most devs are against their games being pirated, and yet here we are...

It's also interesting to note that there was a time not too long ago when people who were smart enough to use a computer and the internet were called a Computer Whiz, a (likely) shortened form of Wizard.

A dev of this scale, nothing much. If the dev made a ToS for the game, C&D order for that private forum. A dev who ACTUALLY works on his game, can take the game hostage. A dev on a bigger scale, can pretty much make the game unplayable on Steam for the person/people caught.

Not sure why they are against it, but I'm also not sure why people don't just mod it regardless of the dev. A number of people cry "The dev won't allow or against mods" so what? Just mod it anyway. If the dev doesn't see it, it doesn't concern them.

Honestly, if the dev can download the mod through just one person who shares it -either directly or because of carelessness- then the dev could craft countermeasures into the game that makes game versions running the mod unplayable.

At best, the mod(s) could take off so much that any official update is superseded by the mod developers like it happened to the Anniversary Edition for Skyrim. Many modders didn't need to make the change to the new official version because a well modded and well-known base was more valuable. To be fair, I wouldn't mind it given how this game gets updates on the pace of a snail. A dead snail.

At worst, it could become another Starsector calamity (where one modder got so mad at a certain NSFW mod that he made his mod act as a literal malware if it detects that NSFW mod), so a properly pissed and thoroughly malign dev could turn their software into malware if it detects the mod in question.

As for the private forum part, any mod that reaches a high enough threshold in good design will be eventually circulated in other forums. If someone reverse engineers the game and manages to keep the mod for themselves then good for them but if the mod is really good then it tends to get out of containment sooner or later.

Super interesting responses, thank you guys.

I guess it all comes down to how much risk a modder is willing to take.

It smells like cancel culture! :geek:
more like the dev is uncomfortable with some elements of a genre they jumped into

a breeding game with DUDES??? terrifying!

but that aside it seems to be in development purgatory regardless so gatta enjoy that uncanny penis and pectoral jiggle physics while we can

also the way the male wild ones run away after wild sex is hilarious and should be preserved
