Well, I don't know if this can be called a "proof of concept", but I've been working on some kind of "revival" of this game using RPG Maker, with an open world system and nonlinear missions. I don't know if it will be ever completed, but I've already drew, edited, and redesigned several things from the original concept, including texts, mechanics, scenes, and so on. Many features had to be cut, such as color and face variations due to the limitations of RPG Maker (and my lazyness). My goal is to keep only the essential monsters, maybe 5 of each gender, more or less. I want to focus only on static drawings and then think about the animations after.
I'd also want to add the extra monsters (self-aware monsters such as elves and demons) to the story mode without the need to create combined animations with all other monsters since it would take forever. Besides, I don't see any sense in breeding these talking monsters along with animal-like monsters (I don't support slavery lol). The neo trait would be used only in the offspring of the monsters. The feral and futa traits would be cut (maybe added in some story mode characters, like the Marchioness).
The video went laggy due to the shitty free trial version of Camtasia and my mediocre PC.
