Have you used cheats to change your writing level? If so set it to something lower as 13. (I think 10 is the highest you can get currently, but it works up to 13)
If you don't know how to do that, get Unren.bat and enable the console. In game open the console with Shift+O and type in writing=13

"Show yourself" is a quest with Barbara about a helping her with a "night job".

Done all walkthrough, night scene and dream scene, in college... I not remember the quest. What to do?

U have to go to rector and that's all. It's an easiest courage point n the game.

12 is maximum. 10 is from works on the NB, and 2 is from books from the kiosk.

... maximum of writing is 10 ... maximum of inspiration 30 ... for now ... hacking essential game variables leads almost inevitably to code exceptions and weird situations.

I don't change value of writing by a console or an editing save, but i have 12.
2 is from books from the kiosk, 8 is from works on NB, and 2 is from works on NB too, but later.
Inspiration is only 21, but i wasn't looking for especially.

Maybe it is an older save? I've looked at the actual spaghetti code and counted 8 iterations of article writing and 2 magazines, nothing else. If there something extra is coming over from previous versions it could count as a save-related bug at least.

I've played from the 0.25.2 version only.
I made 8 article after buying a NB, and 2 articles later. They cost more than first 8.
Looked for a code. It's a save-related bug, coz i didnt find nothing except 8 articles and 2 books in the code.

Hm, you get $100 per article, it does not cost you any. Still only 8 in the code. Did you get the writing achievement? Did you make an update to 0.25.3? Ok, it is something to keep an eye on.

I edited my previous post, it was a bug.
P.S. U can get 100$ more per an article for each 10 in writing, it described in a code.

About quest "Show yourself".
It depends on the answer about "Do you like a kiss", when u talked with Barb about "Why is she not married?". If u answered: "I don't like girls", then the quest is closed.
P.S. U can change a value of a flag "barb_rodos" from 1 to 2, and the quest'll continue at the dinner.
P.S. U'll get 2 scenes, 2 points of courage, and stockings to a homewear.
