I am fine with it, you are the one calling me names and telling me to go away for my opinion! And when you put you comments out there people are gonna put thiers so deal with it. I was just giving my thoughts on your comments.
You are not paying attention to the story then. There is always a "backstory" behind any story. In this case, this is a father who left a long time ago, has been living in a distant town, and has not really been in contact with his family. Therefore, he does not know details about his family regarding what has happened during his long absence. Likewise, his ex-wife and daughter do not know details about what the MC has been up to all those years. As anyone who has been around any length of time knows, people can change work and even the type of work they are doing multiple times during their lifetime. So a conversation about what everyone is doing for work and where Sandi is at regarding school are not unexpected, given the situation.Renders need some work and the script is all over the place. If you set them as ex-wife and daughter, the whole first conversation over dinner is ragged, at best. He knows absolutely nothing about them and they do not know he spent a lot of time in the area? Neither knows what the other does for a living?
A developer with 2 weeks experience in Daz 3D is what happened. The renders will get better as I gain experience, thank you. By the way, you do raise some interesting points about that render. It was a complex scene that I was staging with very limited experience, and I was tending to a lot of details, so I missed how off Sandi was looking. I have asked for help in another forum to see how I could improve this scene, as you are definitely right, it needs to be fixed.View attachment 219576
The hell happened here? Broken neck, swollen forearm, what is this abomination?
looking forward to it ........ The renders will get better as I gain experience, thank you.
you get a gold star for patience..i get the feeling you want to shout f-bombs all over the place because it seems alot of folks do not read through threads to see that a Dev has addressed concerns previously..LOL...SO..to help you maintain your calm professional attitude...some of us will volunteer to f-bomb for you..HAHAHAA developer with 2 weeks experience in Daz 3D is what happened. ThunderRob, thank you for the kind words, and I appreciate the willingness to help out, I really do. I have been active in online communities for well over 30 years (back to the BBS days) so I am all too familiar with how free people are willing to be when they can hide behind a keyboard and take pot shots. That having been said, I just updated the OP and added a changelog for the 0.95 revision so that people can see what was changed, and why, and I tried to credit the many folks who have made suggestions (some kindly, some not so much).you get a gold star for patience..i get the feeling you want to shout f-bombs all over the place because it seems alot of folks do not read through threads to see that a Dev has addressed concerns previously..LOL...SO..to help you maintain your calm professional attitude...some of us will volunteer to f-bomb for you..HAHAHA
2400 baud was about when I started. I would have got onto it earlier except I didn't own a computer yet, so I got on when my employer got one. I actually co-moderated a fairly large BBS for a while, so I am really familiar with the group dynamics.i first hit the internet in 1988 on a 300 baud..there were 7 other people on the bbs..lol...
You call that ambition, i call it lazyness. As a novice developer, I am sure that there is a whole lot that will need to improve, and putting a game out a month and a week after downloading Ren'py and Daz 3D was a crazy ambitious goal to be sure.
renders can be way worse. here its good. How are the renders good, if the characters are ugly? Aren't they part of the renders? Also, the renders don't seem particularly good, even if you set aside the design/look of the characters. The lighting and shading for example is very flat.
Not trying to start a fight, but I found this part of your review a bit unclear.
You call that ambition, i call it lazyness.
You know it's bad, why do you even try to defend it? A month in Daz/Renpy?
Rushing it just so you have something to show on patreon and potentially start making money asap? This is not a race.
i agree with ThunderRob^ fuckity fuck fuck fuck!!!!!
There will be more choices in future episodes. I was trying to keep it simple for the first episode. Down the line, choices made will also influence what relationships can be built and maintained. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
See the changelog in the original post.SO...new update...?...what changed?..text restructuring?....some graphic fixes?..anyone? anyone? Bueller?
