So... played... and... well, dont know?

First of all, i mean... yes it has a "okish" amount of content, but at the same time the game feels like it didnt even started. over 4 years and its only a few days in the game and nothing happened so far. We dont even know much about the characters besides their names, not even the MC. It really feels off. I like slowburn, but slow means still progress, but everything is standing still here. I mean... like this it feels the game couldnt be finished before 2060. Maybe the DEv just wants to much at once? Wouldnt be surprised.

And its the usual problem with the "oooh i make a crime-thriller story" approach to those kind of games. They just dont work if they are not well written.

And the "plot" is really... i dont know, unrealistic and not working at all? First of all... the MC is a detective, and according to the others, "the best they have"... yeah... well... if its the case, he was promoted as a detective at the age of 10 or what? Everyone is refering to him as "boy and kid" he is about the same age like the others in his university class according to things others say... ok lets add 2 or 3 years to that, the girls and others are not older than 22 at the university. with a LOT good will the MC is MAYBE 26 or something like that. He must be the youngest detective in the world, by FAR. Because becoming a detective or something similar, all over the world you need experience as a cop FIRST. At his age they are basically fresh from the academy. and for sure no leading detective and especially not some hot shot super detective leading a case of a big drug trafficing organisation. Thats just bullshit. And makes the game and especially the "crime story" very very unbelievable. Not even the dumbest movies make a leading detective that young.

On top of that the MC acts like a total rookie all the time, which fits his age, but not his job vita.

And... well... a "best detective" going udnercover into the university of the same city... and does not think about that MAYBE someone would recognise him, like... well... EVERYONE for fucks sake? The trafficing case is all over the news, and you want to make me believe that the MC wasnt on the news during that and before, not once? And of course he met already so many people who know him but still goes through with the undercover thing, putting everyone he knows in danger and whatnot and his drooling boss keeps up with this... thats just plain stupid.

Make him a guy who tries to investigate the murder of his mother on his own or something like that... but not a "top detective".

Makes me mad how this ruins the game overall, cause the renders are good, music overall too, girls are interessting and not that generic, the dialogues are well written (the story is not), the game has so much good things going for it... but everything is messed up with the bullshit story... and the pacing.

Sadly this game cant go anywhere like this, 4 years in the making, nothing happened, and until something will happen the game will just be abandoned because nobody cares about it in 20 years anymore.

This was my first time playing, really good game, nice renders, characters and amount of content, but not excelent I would say.

I don't really care about the obvious gaps on the story like being the best detective as such age, only one person recognizing him without any visual change and so on.

BUT, the story development hasn't been that good, too many side stories and love interests being introduced while none of them are actually developing or going forward. (I don't mind more LIs lol, but not like this)

Also, I kinda agree the game is long enough to have more than 5 scenes already.

Hope it gets regular and good updates!

Just out of curiosity, in terms of playtime how many hours worth of content was it ?

I think if you want to read straight through without pausing to do other things, it takes almost an hour. It took me a while, but that's because I had to leave the game to do other things. I think the updates for this game are in line with the general average content for a game.

Take it easy, dude. This isn't the Oscars awards for creativity, originality and realism. Nobody ever pretended the game was anything more than a promising (IMO) story and relaxing gaming experience with a few beers in hand after a hard day at work, or just a sweet pastime to, well, pass the time and see some sweet romance combined with action.

Why get so triggered about a fictional story you can always ignore and move on to other titles better suited for your tastes ?? And who exactly forces you to pay the dev if you don't want to for your own personal reasons ??

If you ever paid him, you helped him grow as a dev in this business, you basically did that out of the goodness of your heart, not cuz someone promised to make real-life versions of these female characters for you to... 'socialize' with in private or some crazy shit like that.

Keyword here is personal agency. Nobody's forcing anyone to like it or pay for it, either of those or both are your choice to make, but instead of rambling the same nonsense over and over again, you could always explain in a calm, polite and constructive way what you liked and disliked about this update, a previous one, or the whole game in general here or in the review section so Knight (the dev) knows where he did good and where he needs to do better.

This is a good start in the right direction, if you really want to see a positive change, not what you did there.



What exactly's keeping you hostage in this thread ?? Other than your own curiosity and need for attention, apparently.

Just go play literally any other game you want, wait for new ones to be released, use tags in the search function for more accurate results, OR, since you such an expert storyteller, go make your own game and see how easy it is to do it long-term, especially when confronted with top-quality 'feedback' like yours and don't have enough money left in the pocket.

We get it, you don't like it... the game's not for everyone. I personally do, other users seem to like it too, that's why I said what I said in my last replies in the thread. If you don't agree, that's fine, but at least try to be civilized about it, instead of screaming out your frustrations with a fictional story not being accurate enough for your tastes.

This game has poor posing, bad premise, dumb characters and the girls aren't even good looking. So even the "turn your brain off" aspect shouldn't work because if you look at any of the images for longer than a couple seconds you see something odd. But hey, this dev, like every other dev on this site, "has potential." Cool.

I mean, you're not completely wrong, and I would also add the less than 30yo detective being "the best detective they have" lol.

The saddest part is that the "has potential thing" happens when there are no options of good VNs like this, if we make a checklist they would all fullfil with the same problems gaps like unoriginal story, waiting a year for the update then it turns to be only half a chapter, unoriginal, and the list goes on.

MC thought his mom was dead, but he found her alive in a warehouse (something like that, and it was the las thing I remember playing...) or I'm talking about another game?

Nitpicks

• Characters named "Bandit" or "Bandit 2", this immediately screams Google Translate at me. Why not "Criminal"?
• Tianna's blouse isn't flattering. DAZ has settings to avoid clothing acting like skin. Seriously, who'd wear a blouse that has boob pockets?
• We're introduced to a bunch of characters and learn numerous names of characters we haven't met. Why? By the time we meet them, I will have forgotten everything about them.
• The MC is... 8 or so? Maybe 10? He and Vanessa don't talk like children. 10-year-olds also don't get jealous the way Vanessa does. Rather, she'd say something like, "I wish you'd come play with me instead".
• Vanessa's banana disappears, then returns. I do NOT want to know where she hid it.
• "And that was the last time we saw each other. At least as friends;"
  And we immediately move to the present day without any further explanation. This thought by the MC also indicates that the entire flashback was told from his point of view, but there is no way that the MC could have witnessed these events. Instead, a narrator should've been used who said something like, "And despite his genuine promise, he wouldn't see Vanessa again."
  As it is, it's a weak attempt at creating a hook with a fake mystery. The MC knows what happened, but the player is kept in the dark.
• We know time passed because Tianna looks older and cut her hair. But we have no idea how much.
• On the beach, the camera moves from the MC's left to his right; this is disorienting. Have him walk and talk instead of standing there and doing some poses as if he's modelling swimwear.
• The MC's story and background are told in a very convoluted way. We had a flashback; why not extend it a bit and tell us what the MC did between last seeing Vanessa and getting Sancho's call? We don't know these people, and there are countless details we have to stitch together to get an understanding of what's happening.
• We're shown a full-sized body bag that looks very full. We are told it contains what's left of some guy's head. That's a large head.
• Comments above mine already mentioned it... The MC can't be in his 30s yet but is a detective. Couldn't he be a CSI tech instead?
  Why does Tianna even need him there? The intro showcased her intelligence. Do I have to believe that she's just a dumb cop now?
• The secret room looks about as large as the living room they were just in. Really?
  Nobody else noticed there was a huge and inaccessible space? It seems to me that the MC is merely a normal guy of normal intelligence and everyone else is retarded.
• The MC yells at someone who is firing an automatic rifle. There's no way this bandit will hear him over the sound of the rifle.
  This same bandit suddenly produces a gun to shoot himself with, but nobody fires at him while he's drawing the handgun. How would the MC and Sancho know that the bandit isn't pulling the gun to shoot at them?
• These morons discuss an undercover assignment in an open office instead of talking in private. If this syndicate is so powerful, they would have dirty cops who could overhear them.
• Tianna is the MC's captain but somehow powerless to stop him from going undercover.
• Again we get a list of names but little context or actual information we can use. The MC is telling his captain about the people who'll be in his class but somehow manages to avoid providing any specifics. Another weak attempt at creating mystery, since giving the player more information would allow them to get interested.

That's it for now... I worry this post will get too large otherwise, if it isn't already.

There’s a bug in the new chapter when talking to Afina. If you choose to comfort her, the scene plays normally, but at some point it loops back and continues as if you chose the “don’t comfort” option instead. Has anyone else experienced this?
