Im going to do the same.
Altough i like to have not too much potraits and profile pic's. To be exct i always go with 2-3 profile pics and 1 potrait.

Also. u don't have to necessarily cut it out yourself. Googling helps a lot with this one.
The best keywords are: "(girls name) render", "(girls name) png".
There are quite a few anime-render sites which specify in only transparent pics, it really comes in handy.

I know, I've been doing that but sometimes the pictures rendered are from lower quality images (Jeanne D'arc for example, the anime/game art or similiar art to it). So I end up cutting it myself.

I always have quite a lot of portraits and profiles though. For example Jeanne D'Arc girlpack has 31 portraits (transparent background). Which I cut 27 of them. (11 normal, 15 happy/sad/libido, 2 naked... still need to add naked portraits).

And profiles? 74 of them lol. None of them are bad enough for me to get rid of them too... (I always cut my profile pictures to 1125x1545 - meaning I crop them to the size and sometimes make them less shiny or add parts that are missing in the pictures. So you could say I edit the profiles.)

Hmm maybe I'm overdoing it?

The adding of the Packstates capabilities has prodded me to make a pass through my old packs, removing a few pics and fixing issues with tagging that I understand better now than I did when I started. But I'm at over 75 packs released, so it is taking a while to go through them. I'm uploading the modified packs, and packstate files, as I complete them, but it's slow going.

As for some recommendations for a list of do's and dont's, here are a few:

1) For Portraits Profiles, specifically ones that are not also tagged Nudity or Libido, avoid using pics that are wider than they are tall. These can cause UI issues on the Free Girl city screens, particularly if you randomly end up with 2 or 3 girls in one city section that have wide pics. The problem is that the pics end up covering up some of the buttons on the screen.

2) For a number of pics, it's OK to use multiple girl images. If you have a nice Rest pic of the subject girl lounging on a bed with a couple of other girls, go for it. BUT, for profile pics of all types, only use solo images. The Profile pics, in a number of places in the game, are used to identify the specific girl. Using group pics muddies which of the girls in the image is the subject girl. Don't assume that those who use your packs actually know who all the characters are.

Create a free account with them. I think all you need is a live email address. You get around 15GB with free accounts, plenty for BH girl packs.

Download their MegaSync tool. Once you install the tool, you sync up your online account with a local directory.

After that point, anything you place in the local directory will get automatically uploaded to the online account, and visa versa. I personally set up one directory under the account to be my public facing girl pack directory, and another to be a private download directory. Whenever I have a girl pack to release or update, I just update it in the local directory, and (depending on your internet speeds) a few minutes later it's ready and available in my online girl pack directory.

From the web site for your account you can get download links for individual files or directories. For lazy me, so that I don't have to bother with lots of different links, I generally just distribute the link to the online girl pack directory, and let people find what they want in that.

There are some things about the Cinder Fall pack that might not be ideal. Even if it's not complete pack I will state everything I can think about right now.

- When your pack is complete don't leave _UNTAGGED pictures in it. It takes up space and the pictures have no use considering someone wants to just use it and not modify the pack

- Try not to use PNG unless you have some rendered pictures (transparent background). PNG format takes way more space than JPG (JPG is lossy compression, detail is lost when converting it into it. You won't notice the difference unless you convert it over too many times)

- Scale down resolution on some of your pictures. For example 'naked (0)' has 5000x7500. Brothel king resolution is set to 1366x768 so the pictures will get scaled down anyway.

- Try not to combine 'group' and 'bisexual' tags together. If you combine these two tags your picture most likely won't be used in advanced training (didn't test on whoring).

- Combining 'naked' tag with 'group', 'bisexual', 'sex', 'anal', 'fetish', 'service' will make the picture available only during advanced naked training for some reason. Beware of that.

- You combine 'beast' and 'monster' together. 'beast' tag is for animals from natural world. 'monster' tag is for supernatural beings.

- Currently, I don't think you need the 'neutral' tag.

- I noticed a duplicate picture aswell. Not counting in duplicates with _UNTAGGED. There would be around 7 of them.

- Leortha mentioned that you shouldn't have portraits that have way more width than height due to some bug. I also recommend you to use portraits that have about 250x250 resolution. They fit and look better.

- It's only optional, but try not to use pictures that are really narrow. It might be just my preference, but when displayed ingame it might look lacking.

- Combining 'neutral' and 'happy' will make the picture used only when her mood is high enough. The neutral tag has no effect.

- On farm pictures, you also use 'naked' tag during 'service' act. Dunno if it was intentional.

- It's just my opinion, but I would not use 'big' tag when it's involving monster or beast. If I recall right then that tag is meant for human partners with either oversized body or penis.

- My last advice would be, to not try too hard to get high girl rating. From my experience it might result in adding more wrong tags.

And that's about all I can think of right now... Hope you find it helpful.

Thanks for the feedback Darkn00b . In regards to your advice
1. I normally clean them up but i must have forgot those untagged ones
2.I'm not really familiar with formats so this is really good advice.
3.Again not familiar with photo work so i use that on my next set
4.was tagging it with the difference between male male female and male female female
5. thought i fixed that (except for farm pics) but i found the one must have missed it on cleanup
6.Nature of the show unfortunately theres very few actual animals in the show and I'd rather have something that looks like it goes on the farm then a random sex pic. The few beast pics i found i did add as beasts (none with cinder though)

The issue with wide profile pics occurs in the city, where you have free girls showing their profile. If you have over-wide profiles, and get unlucky enough to get two or three of these, they start of overlap the left/right buttons for changing zones. Two such pics partially obscures the buttons, and three covers them totally.

I reported this to Goldo many months back, and his opinion was that it was not a priority to change up the UI for a rather rare occurrance. But even so, if those pics can be avoided in that one specific usage, the situation can be avoided.

Yeah these pictures are not so often. It's also uncommon for a girl to fill all fixation and farm tags with atleast 6 pictures so it makes sense to use other pics to cover the tags. It might be because I'm currently making packs for fate characters, but 'enema', 'fisting', 'lactation', 'watersports', 'spanking' and 'rimming' are tags that are hard to find. I always end up searching 9 sites for pictures. I was lucky to find pictures to cover these tags in gallery that was untagged on ex-hentai for Mash Kyrielight....

Some technical comments:

4. I think the situation is still that 'group' and 'bisexual' act as mutually exclusive filters, so using both tags effectively removes the picture from the game. There's a whole thread about it on the HHS forums.
6. That's what default pictures are for. You can turn off default pictures, you can't 'turn off' (well, outside of retagging/deleting them) 'beasts with tentacles'.
11. You should consider when the game uses happy/sad/libido pictures, not just that they have 'hearts everywhere'. Right now, it's really loose: 'happy' is excluded from fearful or low-mood girls, libido from girls with less than 75 libido, etc. And there's the 'ahegao' aspect for sex pictures, too, i.e. do you want a 'sad orgasm' to include that picture or not.
Also, 'neutral' definitely has an effect, which is disabling the picture if your girl is starting to show any kind of strong emotion (15+ love, fear or either direction of mood). That 15 is between +1 and +2 to mood modifier, e.g. 'all right' and 'fond' for love. It's just that almost nobody uses 'neutral'.
12. There are two contexts for 'farm' pics showing up outside of farm: 'big dick' can happen in almost all contexts, so obvious non-humans should be avoided. And 'machine' can also show for fetish acts. Using the 'naked' tag is really not encouraged outside of it's intended use: naked portrait/profile/rest/job pictures, naked training and the 'fifth' farm training.
13. As mentioned above, 'big' is really not a farm exclusive.

As I promised during BK Best Girl contest, since she won 2019 edition she'll have personalized events, but it will take a while since I'm still looking her anime to get some inspiration. Also, at this point I'll start making BK walkthrough, so don't expect her story to be ready in less than a month.

Just started a new game with her on it and I gotta say I love this pack/girl. I didn't vote for her in the early rounds (and I forgot to vote later on) but I've to say that I'm won over. Thanks for this Kite80, oh and I had fun with the contest.

Technically, they should not be there. UNTAGGED and TRASH are artifacts of the tagging tool. The tool initially turns all pics with no matching tags into UNTAGGED pics. Normal process is then for the girl pack maker to work through the UNTAGGED pics, tagging and trashing various pics. Eventually all the UNTAGGED pics get handled, and all get either tagged or TRASHED. The TRASH pics are then deleted before the pack is zipped up for release.

I cannot tell you why a pack maker would end up leaving UNTAGGED pics unprocessed in a released pack. But all it means is that the pack maker did not process the pic and give it a tag, or delete it from the assembling pack.

UNTAGGED pics do not appear in the game in any way.
