Maybe you’re right ... but will they still be impressive in 2032? I’m just thinking the 3D graphics in a couple VNs that I quite like, which started in 2018 or something like that, are starting to feel a bit dated. BK on the other hand uses images from the Rance series by Alicesoft, which may be 20 years old or more, but they still work fine.
I last played this about 8 months ago and I vaguely remember there being some kind of mod or setting for cheats. Am I remembering that right? If so, how do I get it again?

You mean weakness to minions? A girl either has it (=weakness to all minions) or she doesn't and has just one weakness. No middle ground.
AFAIK, the only ways are to 'increase' it are to either a) use Trait King and hope she develops into a Country Girl (astronomically unlikely) or b) order a Country Girl from the Headhunter. Both require you to use mods, and TK is a pretty invasive mod at that (not that I dislike it).

I can't get to chapter 5 without bleeding money. Everything goes fine until I rank my girls up to A. Once they're at A rank, I can't support the upkeep and no amount of advertisement or changing customer options saves me from bankruptcy.

Lower their upkeep then? If you get their mood high enough, they'll work almost for free.
But in general, learn to play better or lower the difficulty. There are lots of moving parts in the game you can tweak. One big thing is furniture. You can send some girls to the farm while you build up furniture. Perhaps punish some to remove their upkeep (and make them do what you want). You can specialise your girls more and leave other stats low to reduce upkeep. Try more group sex. Focus more on quests (is quest income taxable now?). Farm girls for resale.
You can also post your save to see if anyone has more specific advice.

lower the upkeep
once you establish some reputation, you can cut on advertising as well - there's only so many customers that can be serviced, so going over that number is a waste of money. If i remember right, i was only running the adds for the first few days after moving. then you gradually lower it, all the way down to 0 eventually
invest in passive skills like security or cleaning - that would help spend less

That is really not recommended. Unless your girls never reach budget caps, or are all Elite, or some other weirdness like that, lowering your advertising means cutting customer budgets, and quite harshly at that. If you haven't unlocked the billboard yet, do so and check just how badly youre lowering your profits. Move the balance towards budgets if there are too many customers.
Security and cleaning aren't that good. You want your girl to make profits in her main job first, not spread her progress around. That having been said, the one place where security from girls shines is in being able to go beyond max help, since security needs to be quite near chapter maximums to get any, never mind good mitigation for those bad security events. Cleaning is just a few (dozen) extra gold per girl, that will not save anyone from bankruptcy.

The game is in active development. It has been in development for ~7 years or so. This is a hobby project for the dev, who has never taken any money/donations in all those years. Nor has he ever given any indication that he might abandon the game at some point.
If all goes according to plan, I suspect it will remain in development for at least another 5 years. But plans can change, so who knows.
Also keep in mind that Ren'py games are effectively open source. Every time you download BK you have downloaded every bit of source code for the game. This means that, even if the dev did ever abandon it, the game's community could, and IMHO likely would, continue it as a community project. The dev shows no signs of doing that, and the community is not going to stage any sort of hostile takeover, but if somehow the dev was unable or unwilling to go on, I think that BK would go on.

What do you mean? Infinite AP? Increase girls' mood? Better game (=your mood
)?The first is not technically possible (unless someone codes it), but you can reset your action points with both in-game cheats and King's Way. KW allows you to change many girl values as well, including mood.

Encourage the girls for improving their mood. Or have sex with them. Or train them. Or go around the city.
I am a bit confused, because i never had too much Action Points, on the contrary i usually could use more of them.

Mood is actually relatively easy to max, so that's a bit superficial. My own solution for love (and I recall someone else doing something similar) was to make love (and fear) normalise to mood instead of zero. Well, trust instead of fear actually, except for masochists.

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't find it. Could someone help me understand how exactly stats affect job performance results? For example, beauty and sensitivity are said to be the main stats for masseuse, while body and refinement also help. Are beauty and sensitivity equal in value or is one better than the other? Are they multiplied together and thus should be as even as possible? And for body and refinement, how much worse are they than the main two stats? Is it worth ignoring them completely in stat assignment until the main two are near maxed out? Thanks in advance, loving the game.
