nah, it's just a slideshow.
the VN tag should ne removed.
this is more a visual novel then a game so no need to remove that tag
i would say it would fit more in the comix section of the board then here in game section
but it's already in comix section and the dev probably downloaded the pics from there

VN stands for visual novel which basically means book with pictures (a.k.a. comic book),
so I actually think VN is a pretty accurate description of this.
And you're right this is just a slideshow, you can't call this a game, but I do love the story and i hope you enjoy it too.
This is not a Visual Novel, this is at best a Kinect Novel or at worst just a slideshow disguised as one.

According to the internet (and wikipedia):
"A kinetic novel is a linear type of visual novel where there is a linear storyline with no player choice or gameplay."
So both the tags VN and kinetic novel are correct. But I agree this is made as just a slideshow.

I just hope people stop "discussing" whether or not this is a VN and just enjoy the story. All this arguing reminds me of the discussions wheter or not something was NTR. Which is not something I want.

PS: My initial desciption of VN in the first post was wrong, I was thinking of graphic novel. You can google VN to get it's proper definition.

Yes, renpy is a bit of "bloatware" for just a comic. :)
wyrmslayer70 If you have all the comics, and if you have time (and like the idea), you could make a single zip with chronologically numbered folders of all the episodes. So we can simply use any image viewing software. I followed this comic in the past but then I lost track of it.
Nonetheless, thanks for your effort.
I know, the capabilities of Ren'Py are heavily underused for just a comic, but I chose it because it could gather all comics in one place and make the navigation between them very easy. Plus it is a very lightweight program that doesn't require any installation.
If you just want the pictures, you can find them in the "\game\images" folder and use the timeline picture or the "About" section in Ren'Py to see the chronological order.
You can also find all the images in .zip format here on this site (https://f95zone.to/threads/y3df-siterip-2019-09-y3df.693/).
So I'm not sure it's worth it to double post something that's already available.
But, thanks for the suggestion.

A by definition should contain at least a resemblance of , no matter how small it is, that's why VNs are still categorized as games since the branching path stories found in visual novels represent an evolution of the concept. A Kinect Novel walks on a very grey area, and your implementation of it does not exactly help mitigate that problem.

A Ren'py implementation of this type can only be considered "bloatware" no matter how you slice it.

Yes, you are absolutely right. This is not a game!

I am a horrible person that uses bloatware and falsely accredited VN tags to trick you into watching porn and j*rking off.

I did not consider the possible ramifications of calling this slideshow a kinetic novel would have on the secret war effort of kinetic novels against games.

As an act of apology I hereby solemnly swear I will never ever call a Kinect Novel a game
and hope that someday you will forgive me for calling this slideshow a kinetic novel.

not bad, better than many projects on the site. visual novel style simple and simple. but it could have been much better. animation could have been moving scenes could have moved the music selection event to a whole different dimension, for example. There is material that looks like a slide show of the Stone Age, but there is no idea that you can either throw forward or count where you are. INTERESTING FOR INSEST

People appreciate the effort, whether it's VN or not, it's appreciated. Can an android port be done on this one? Not asking for it, just curious if it can be done.
