Brother or half brother, doesn't really make a difference, I have a half sister but I don't call her that, she's my sisterI've given a good deal of thought to this (ahem). First of all -

He would be a half-brother because they would have different fathers.
As to, whether he should call the baby his child or brother/sister, I think it depends on how he sees his mother. If he still sees his mother as his mom, it would be weird to call her baby his son/daughter. I think brother/sister from another father (i.e. himself) is more appropriate in this case. On the other hand, if he starts to see his mother as his lover/wife/partner, he could call the baby his son/daughter.
Nah, just confuse the kid and tell him/her "I'm your daddy, but I'm also your brother, ain't that some wicked shit?"
