Of course not! It's 2024, I'd never ruin the retro aesthetic of the game by adding useful features or quality of life improvements.

But all jokes aside, it won't be done because it would take too long to implement (since it wasn't planned from the start, I'd have to do a lot of manual, tedious copy/pasting and editing of hundreds of scenes spread around hundreds of maps).

For the Magic Academy Test, I took the practical exam, but when I beat the fireballs the game sticks on a Black Screen

I finished Blood Ties but I can't get it to go to chapter 4. It just tells me this is where I WOULD record the information if I had completed Blood Ties...which I pointedly have.

Please tell me there's a way to fix this that isn't me needing to start back from scratch? I have 11+ Hours on this save...

Did you notice any pattern (did this happen when you completed the other half of the test first, for example)? I have tried a few times, but I can't replicate the issue, and at a glance the game's logic doesn't have any obvious flaws.

By the way if something like that happens but you can still open the menu, go to the key items and use "time control", there is also a fix for black screens (but of course, do keep reporting them so I can fix them for good).

I talked to my parents first, and after Alpharius? Nah, I use mirror travel and horses/boat cause map walking is a hassle, is that the issue? Alright thanks

Edit: Speaking of Mirror Walking, is our house in Rabis gonna get updated to have the amenities of our other houses? Will our room at our parents' house be sleepable in?

No problem. I use the world map to store the triggers for the next chapters, because the game didn't have the carts to travel around originally, so it was basically a forced checkpoint (and it effectively still is for temples, unless you use the debug tools). The one exception is chapter 3 to chapter 4, and specifically if you talk to Alpharius last (since you are in Tarkas at the end, so you don't have to go to the world map at all). I actually changed it now, so the trigger will happen if you speak with him last in future releases.

I think the Rahib house will stay as is, with the possible exception of adding a mirror there (I still have to think about it). No plans for the room in your hometown either (I feel like there isn't really a need for it).

Nope. Finished the exam, waited for 3 minutes for the black screen to do anything the first time, did it again, didn't wait as long, but still black screen, then again and it worked fine

I've been away from this thread for a bit, but I was wondering if there be any new content based around Solina as a noble?

I don't think I added any new noble content in Solina (I mean, the only content that is tangentially related to Solina as a noble, is the one you can get if your maids are cowgirls from Zanti). For noble content in general, the next thing on the list is the final quest in Golden Leaf, which should be the last large quest I add to the game.

Thanks for the help anyway. I'll try to figure it out for a while longer, but this really has me stumped. Did you ever fail the test before succeeding?

Edit: The one thing I can perhaps think of is if you accidentally touched CTRL on the keyboard, as that hides the dialogue box and prevents you from accidentally moving forward the dialogues until you press CTRL again, so if you do it when the screen is black, it would look as if the game got stuck, but I am not sure if such a "convenient" accident really happened twice in a row.

That's my bad, I recently updated the maps, and I must have introduced this bug then. On the plus side, there is nothing there to be found with detect magic (other than the red orbs, which aren't interactable anyway), so you can just avoid using it there, at least until I fix it (probably in version 0.9.9).

Can someone tell me whether I am going to miss any quests because I want to proceed to Ch2? I actually only started playing and I was really excited about what happens in the story. But I get a message when trying to next chapter that some of the CH1 content won't be accessible anymore.

I am attaching the ss of my active and completed quest list. Can someone help me?

P.S. Also I have only explored Tarkas and looked for missions there only. SO if there other quest in other region that won't be available anymore, please recommend them to me if possible?

You have already completed the "chapter 1 only" quests (they are the first 4 in your questlog, actually: Nobless Oblige, Alchemical thirst, Merchant Escort, Haunted Woods), so you can safely progress.
