Yeah, they changed them recently-ish. It used to be that a few scenes had a speed slider (just the first few), and if you're referring to my "intro" and "outro" mentions in my scenes post, that's how I was describing the non-looping, one-time transition scenes leading into or out of a sex scene. Those mostly still exist, but you can shortquit the scenes with "leave" and skip those now.
Ah, okay that makes sense thanks. The cowgirl scene I was going through just had the intro and the two animation cycle with "Exit" being the only thing shown which just full-stopped the scene, no outro animation or anything. I'll have to check some others to see if it's just something acting up on my end or something
I honestly love this game and its potential. It's near perfect for my taste. I prefer an adult game that is at least 60% fun gameplay (not just a visual novel) and not too sex scene focused, which this is. I like futa. I like being a customizable character I find hot a little bit more than being a guy that fucks characters I find hot. I do think this game is (getting) a bit too zoo for me though, especially with the more recent dragon sex scene.
I really like the character customization on the fly and the ability to actually find customization options in the world. I really like the ability to switch genders, cock sizes and whether you have a cock or not. I like the quests, the story, the combat, although it is a bit basic right now, but a skill tree is promised. I like the sidequests. I like the ability to craft stuff and to have your improvable camp. I honestly think that this will be one of the best adult games ever if the development continues at this pace for at least 2 more years.
One thing that I do not like about this game, however, is its subscription/purchase model. I subscribed at the avatar tier for the past 6 months and you get one update per month that gives you a couple of hours of play time, and it often comes with bugs that might prevent you from progressing in the game, and you have to wait for the next month's update to fix them so you can continue playing. In December I had a bug that kept corrupting my saves, making the game unplayable until the January update, meaning that I essentially paid for one month of nothing. I could pay double the price for one extra update per month, but I wouldn't be ready to pay that much even for an mmo I rake a 100+ hours a month in. I have currently paused my support, but will probably continue in the future, when more updates add up and my financial status improves, as I'm currently in-between jobs due to a surgery with a long recovery.
One option that is worth considering for me is buying the steam version, but there are two downsides. I'd have to deal with waiting a lot longer between updates, but I can deal with that. Even though I publicly play Subverse and She will punish them, I do think this game is a bit too far for my friends to see me play and I really do not like having multiple accounts. I wish steam had an option to make individual games completely private while maintaining everything else public. And yes, I do buy every game I enjoy since I've had my first paycheck.
If anyone has any suggestions for other adult games I might like, so ones that have more gameplay than scenes and are not visual novels, I'd be happy to hear them. So far I've played and liked the 3 recent NLT games (LE, ToN, TGO), Subverse, She will punish them, and I've found Wild Life promising, but the development seems very slow and there's not a lot of gameplay yet.

Depends on what you're into exactly but I've got a couple in mind.
More Unity/Unreal games:
The Last Barbarian: sort of fits but I'd argue it's more sex scene focused than anything. Still has quests and combat but not nearly as polished as quests and combat in this game.
Kalyskah: might be more up your alley but I haven't personally checked in out in awhile. I don't remember it having a ton of content but still worth a look. You play as a female vampire if I remember right.
Vikings Daughter: You play as a male blacksmith who arrives at a village to find it raided. You end up staying to help out the survivor and eventually get her people back. Also not a ton of content but enough there to have fun for a bit imo.
Breeders of the Nephelym: A breeder game. Capture monster girls/boys/futas and breed them to fulfill requests, unlock more areas, and build up your farm.
RPGM Games:
Peasant's Quest: Basically in the title, you start as a peasant in some village and do quests around town to sort of establish yourself and eventually work your way to the areas outside of town. Good amount of content too.
A Struggle With Sin: Similar to Peasant's Quest but this one has a bit more going on, and I'd say it gives you a bit more freedom. It can be a bit annoying at first with managing energy, hunger, and lust but once you get into the flow the game is pretty fun. Also a ton of content.
Roundscape Adorevia: Large game but again I'd argue gameplay is secondary. I used a cheat to skip all the combat. Still has well over 100 scenes all with art if that's your thing. Your character is on a quest to stop a dark god from taking over the world. Can play as a male or female.
The Last Sovereign: This one I'm biased on as it's probably my favorite adult game period, but well worth a look if you want something to really get invested into. I wrote a review for it if you want my full opinion on it, but it's currently like 80 hours long with a very well written and engaging plot amongst many other things. (If you play this one, there's also an amazing walkthrough created for it. I'd recommend using it)
There's a lot of Ren'Py games that would probably fit the bill too but this post would end up being too long.
They are really bugged atm. Usually you can free 2 of the 3 captives. If you pick up a key at a captive and it doesn't work then, it will stay bugged so no need to continue picking up keys for that one.
I do believe that is supposed to be fixed in the 0.3.27 update that came out on 1/31/22 for the Ascended Tier Patreon donors.
I managed to get it working and freed all 3. The solution for me was to have exactly one key in my inventory, so if you have more, sell them all, then kill another jailer to get exactly one new one. Selling a few so I had one left didn't seem to work, it only worked when I sold all, restarted the game, killed the jailer next to the captive, looted the one key and unlocked the cage.

I have the January Avatar patreon version that reworked the inventory system, so I guess that's what made keys sellable, so it might still be an unavoidable bug in the Steam version, the only solution there would then probably be to start a new game and be very careful to never loot more than one key, but even then I'm not sure it would work 100%.

Problem is potentially caused by high amount of saves. Even if you don't see them in game they still remain saved in save folder. So possible solution is removing unwanted save files in: c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\carnal_instinct\Saved\SaveGames\
They attempted to fully resolve this issue several times. And every time there is less reports but thus far something is still messing up.
It is interesting how random this bug is. For me I had it in fist version I downloaded from here. Then few versions it was ok. Than one more. And since then all is good for now.

I always pre-loot it as soon as I spawn so I've never seen this... Could be a quest scripting oversight.
