When I start up the UE5 version, it says that there is less content than the UE4 version. Is that correct? And is the same content from UE4 in UE5, just less of it?

I'm trying to figure out which version I should try out.

I appreciate the assist. Your clues led me to it.

So to clear this up even more with screen shots, Damaris' sword is here:

In-game screenshot and map point, because fuck this quest.
Did they ever fix the bug where if you got the sword before talking to Damaris the quest bugged out?

I installed the UE5 version from OP's post and after finishing the first quest 'Behold' the screen fades to black with the Carnal Instinct Logo and the game crashes, until the end of the first quest the game runs fine, does anyone know a solution? I've already tried searching but I haven't found anything.

Details:

  • No Error code or window.
  • The game closes by itself shortly after passing the Carnal Instinct logo upon completing the quest.

That sounds like running out of RAM when trying to load a slightly larger map. Or your GPU is choking on a badly-textured horse cock.

Update graphics drivers and make sure swap memory is enabled/has enough room to work.

I'm not sure. I'd recommend getting the quest first before getting the sword as usual.
I keep it mind still it funny when steam players reported it the devs post they have no idea how to trigger it after being told many times how it happen.

Thanks, I don't thinks related to swap because I have 16 Gb of Ram and 16 Gb assigned to Page file in Windows, as you mentioned it's probably related to the version of my GPU driver, because I get a warning when opening the game, but currently I can't update as the latest version because AMD hasn't released the fixed driver for my card. Is there a way I could play on another PC and transfer my save once I've completed the first mission?

Nice bait. I checked Wild Life before and there wasn't much to play. I checked WL's latest update, only animations. However game development doesn't need to be a competition. Let them both go on whatever path their devs want.
Yeah when i played WL didnt like it cuz its main consept seems like "creating scenes" instead of "role play". So i think both games great and literally different "at this point" . Maybe we can say WL trying to create big "library" first then quest/lore etc. and CI follows "balanced" path.

I honestly don't understand why they didn't just continue with UE4 since it has a lot more content and a story that was leading somewhere great. UE5 has pretty much nothing to do and is taking forever to even get any content added and pretty much abandoned the entire story leadup that UE4 version was hyping up. But since the game is one of a kind I still like it and hope it can surpass the UE4 update soon. I think the best way to handle it would be to just release each patch at the same time instead of having steam patch take months longer than the rest of the patches.

We discussed this previously, kaipurge. The short explanation of the matter is that Unreal Engine builds have about 10 years to stay around with game/visual arts developer community focus and Unreal Engine developer focus before the next engine version comes out. There is less support for the previous engine version as time goes on, leading to bugs that can't be fixed and advice that can't be found or requested.

If you want the long explanation, follow this link.
