No they don't. They can make everyone play UE5 by making it opt out, or just not provide UE4 at all. They aren't, so they don't.

This is not rocket science, nor an illogical concept, nor a very complex one.

That is just they telling people that they are still alive. Again, it is not a complaint as they can make everyone play UE5 anytime they want. It is only a complaint when they have no power over it.

Yeah, it's uncracked. No crack = no playing without credentials. You need the cracked one.

you know, I would've at least tried to stay in the UE5 version if it wasn't for that "heavy performance drop when loading a save" bug.

I actually still kinda like that version, even with the lesser content available

I'm at where it says the Tomb is for the "No Rest" quest, but even after approaching the rocks it isn't presenting me with a load zone to interact with. Should be latest version, UE5

iirc you need to get yourself a dungeon orb to open it.

Currently, the orb (Watchful Eye) is only necessary to enter the Temple of Jedet.

Nergaal's Tomb does not require anything like that.

switching to UE5 is either an incredibly mind-numbingly poor project management decision, a crap way to pretend they're working (in the case that the port went fine but they are just wasting time - I doubt this), or just a way to do meaningless work instead of progressing the game because being creative is harder than just porting old features and content

The version from the launcher can be started with
\Carnal_Instinct_UE5\Binaries\Win64\Carnal_Instinct_UE5-Win64-Shipping.exe -patreonID=11111 -checksum=hFUfosJ%X6eM*^m3 -PatreonName=Zack_Cain
Then you dont need a crack, just copy it from their downloader

If only Launcher would work under Wine/Proton...

Try adding -vulkan when launching from command line.

I can launch the current version only by using a shortcut with the following properties:
C:\*******\***\Carnal_Instinct.exe -dx11
