I can't recall this conversation and I try to reply to everyone who contacts me. I may have been thrown off since I don't know what a "duf subscene file" is. It sounds like it might be something to do with digital rights. Sakrilas owns the rights to the visuals used in the Game, so you would need to contact him about that, while I own the rights to the character.
For the character, I am still writing stories about Casey so I would be reluctant to part with it, but I don't have a problem with fanfic. It would tickle me to see it even. I might not enjoy it much if her character was altered too much though, but other scenarios where she escapes the blackmailer or never even meets him due to a decision she makes earlier and so on would be fun.
Hi, well, sorry, my apology, I just realised I wrote "Velcrofist", but in reality, I had first contacted both of you, you replied saying the file was with Sakrilas, and then I wrote to Sakrilas without result.
So, saying I contacted you was not lying, but it was also not the full picture, sorry for that.

A duf subscene is simply a DAZ file (duf) made in such a way that you can easily open it directly or add it up to an existing file in Daz, so, it does not have anything directly to do with digital rights. "Made in such a way", is really just an option from the save menu, nothing complicated.

However, yes, if Casey's visual for the game was developed by Sakrilas, it can be said he owns the rights to her representation as used in the game, at least, unless someone manages to rebuild the same identical visual (or something close enough) without using his files, in that case, it could become more tricky, though he would still for sure own the right to the original files.

That said, honestly, my phrase was not a criticism.

It was put there just to point out, in my reply to a post, that I was not replying as someone who does not like Casey, but actually, as someone that really liked the character, and not only the look, to the point it was strangely difficult for me not to get pissed off at someone mistreating her.
Quite funny (at least for me), given she is not a real person and I have no qualms getting female character in other games I played in all kind of sexual situations, even rough ones.
But as I had already written in the past, I consider it a side effect of the very good work you did with the story and character and Sakrilas with the look.

Oh, no I didn't think you were lying. :) I thought more likely I had forgotten. I have some recollection of it now, but I would have left it in Sakrilas's hands.
It's kind of great that you felt sorry for Casey. The situation she found herself in was supposed to be completely unfair and unearned. It's the whole "innocence corrupted" blackmail trope which I tried to put a spin on by giving the blackmailer a different motivation, and in a different world where registered nudity and indentured servitude existed and how it could be abused. ;)

Hello again! I am back!

It's kind of great that you felt sorry for Casey.
A little over a year ago I wanted to check out Casey's Fall, and I played it for quite a while, until just before the end of day 4. I was liking it, and it looked like great things were to come. So I chose not to continue and wait for a better time, with more time and calm, and a game more advanced in its development.

And now that more than a year has passed and (sadly) it has been confirmed that the game, as it stands, is already very close to its final form I have decided to *really* start with it.

My intention is to go through each and every existing route of the game. To crumble it completely. For that I am working on a routing diagram to explore the whole tree of possibilities.

Since Monday, during these four days, I have played the first four days. As I have followed the same route as before the story and art I remembered. No surprises.

And today (2024-07-19), starting with day 5, I get a totally unexpected shock! I had to quit. :D

About the spoilers of my previous post...

It is amusing to read how Casey, who is not only beautiful but also intelligent and kind-hearted., ruminates in her soliloquies about what is happening to her. And as she desperately tries to regain control by reviewing her options, planning for the future and strategizing. It is delicious!

I stopped before the last scene of day 5 because I want to dose it as much as I can. Tomorrow I will continue...

Casey's weekend looks like it's going to be a crazy one. :-D

Well. It was inevitable.

Today I passed the halfway point of the game. I've already watched 52% of the total scenes. ouch! It's exciting to know that I have about the same number of scenes left as I've already seen. But it's also bittersweet to realize that I'm inexorably approaching, with a steady pace, the end of the available content.

New update on my personal journey in the world of Casey's Fall!

Well. Now I think I'm pretty close to the resolution of this path which is the one I've been following. Besides Casey's final fate there are only two things left to know: who is the blackmailer and why is he or she doing it? And already as a personal interest what is Phoebe's hidden secret?

About the blackmailer, as I have not taken this story as a detective novel, I have never given too much importance to that. I also don't think the purpose of the creators was to leave clues around to complete the puzzle. I've always seen it as having to do with Casey's journey, not hunting the bad guy.

So much so that it wouldn't seem wrong to me that the blackmailer would be different depending on the choices made. I know that in the VelcroFist stories is the answer, but it's not something I'm concerned about.

In that sense Phoebe's hidden secret stimulates me more. It seems like it would be a cause for embarrassment. Beyond that it seems to me that with the information we have at this point it is impossible to know. We can only conjecture.

All we know is that Phoebe believes her secret would embarrass her family.

A secret of a sexual nature? Maybe they have naked pictures of her in the pool? ;) I honestly don't think so. The game already has enough of that kind of blackmail. :p

It could be something drug related considering Jolene also seems to be blackmailed for a similar reason. But Jolene seems to sell. maybe my Phoebe consumes? Maybe so she can deal with the pressure of being a perfect girl that she's pushed into by her environment?

Maybe she doesn't want it to get out that she's got herself a forty-five year old boyfriend among the teaching staff. ;)

Or maybe the secret is that she wants to pursue some artistic interest (film director, clothing designer... or perhaps writing visual novels for adults, or maybe only design the 3D scenes :ROFLMAO:) and she knows that her environment would not tolerate having an artist in the family.

And so I could go on for a long time. It seems to me that any explanation is as good as any other!

Can you tell I'm obsessed with your work? Well. No more than a Star Wars fan is obsessed with Star Wars I think. ;)
I'm afraid that as long as my fever lasts I will hold this thread hostage.:p

I have just experienced the second ending of the game. But before telling it in the next entry I have the need to explain exactly my perception of the "canon Phoebe" at this precise moment. Rest assured that after this I don't think I'll need to talk about her with this vehemence anymore(I hope).

It is an essay I have entitled Phoebe and me. o_O Those who are not interested should avoid. ;)

The end of the road

I have finally reached the end of the current path. I will now proceed to explain in detail my impressions and over-thoughts.

It is such a joy to read that someone has seen all of the nuances, red herrings and hints that we put in. :)

There are two epilogues which aren't quite completed to our satisfaction - what we call the Main Path with Greg, and the main Path with Professor Ollam. Both start if she chooses not to tell her parent the truth after the Sunday lunch party. If she argued about running naked on Day 2, it follows the Professor Ollam path. If she didn't, it follows the Greg path, which is the one closest to the original novel. Both of these need more images to make them more interesting, in particular the Greg path since it is very long.

Incidentally, there is a link to a Walkthrough on the main menu page. This has background information about all of the characters, as well as outlines and more detailed explanations for all of the paths. Warning: it does have spoilers, but you'll be able to check if you missed any paths and also get a deeper understanding of what motivates the characters' behaviours. (I must get around to completing the walkthrough, but there is enough there to guide players through the various paths).

First, I apologize for the English. I know it is horrible. I only aspire to be vaguely understood.

I am honored that you find some joy in my rambling. I have an unhealthy tendency to over-rumination, over-analyze and over-thinking. :-/ And If it is combined with a heated imagination and with too much time to spare, the mixture is fatal.

I don't really feel like I'm playing your game. Rather, I am exploring it. I apply a recursive algorithm that methodically runs through all available paths. The exploration will be exhaustive. I will leave nothing out. You can be sure of that.

However I try to avoid spoilers so as not to have preconceived ideas, not to spoil surprises. Sometimes I play at making predictions, where I am miserably wrong. :-D and so I want to keep myself ignorant.

For example, I inexplicably did not predict the ending where Casey tells his parents the truth. I thought the two alternatives would be: Casey tells the parents that she wants to be a registered nudist, or she doesn't tell them, risking the blackmailer's wrath (or else she tells them but makes sure they say no).

Now I had a new prediction that what would come after not telling the truth to his parents after the Sunday party.

There would be a new decision that would lead me to two different epilogues;

First guessed epilogue: the blackmailer gets completely away with it and will get everything he wants without being discovered. There we will find out what exactly she was after. Casey would be a registered nudist much to their regret and would not have the support of his parents and friends. Her parents may throw her out of the house. She will have Cassandra as her manager who will get her jobs as a nude domestic helper, or porn model or worst. She will probably have no choice but to embrace indentured servitude. Humiliation will be an integral part of her life. If things become too miserable she will consider a new life in an isolated nudist colony.

Second guessed epilogue: Jolene is discovered and brought before the authorities. Because of the vileness she intended to do to Casey, it is quite possible that the judge will make the unprecedented decision to force her to become a registered nudist and indentured slavery. Her parents disinherit her. Mark's studio is forced by law to remove all material about Casey from the social networks and destroy it. Meanwhile, Casey gets her life in clothes back before this whole nightmare. She sometimes feels sorry for her sister (who would now be her perpetual naked slave) .In fact Casey will reluctantly accept demeaning 'propositions' for Jolene in order to earn an income that will allow Casey to comfortably pay for college. It is possible that Casey did get into the habit of waxing herself integrally, or not.

As you can see, these are very obvious assumptions of endings. You don't have to rack your brains.

But now that you've ruined it for me :mad: , I know I was again miserably wrong :ROFLMAO::LOL: . I love it! I would have preferred to find out in the game though. Slowly. Progressively. At the pace that Sakrilas and you decided.

That's why I'm staying away from the guide.

But don't worry, I plan to read it from top to bottom. But only after I fully explored the visual novel.

Now, with absolute honesty:

I discovered this visual novel two years ago and in the early days I took a glance at the guide before I decided to play it. Pushed by the intense curiosity of the first moments. It was then that I discovered The State and the concepts of registered nudism and indentured servitude.

I did take a look at the descriptions of some of the characters in the guide. Casey, Phoebe, Cassandra and her gang, and Greg. Tara too but I don't remember anything about her. Nor do I want to remember. I want to discover her through the text and images of the visual novel. As with all the characters.

The fact is that the little I read was enough to contaminate me terribly.

As I want to avoid ruining the experience for others I continue under spoilers.

Thank you very much for your work and for replying to me, VelcroFist
I am sorry to tire you with my diatribes. Don't worry I'll gradually write less because I've already said a lot of things. About Phoebe, about the blackmailer and so.... And I'm not going to repeat myself...

I would only go back into berserker mode if something happens in your visual novel that intrigues me greatly. And if it has to do with Phoebe that will be pandemonium. :devilish:

PS: That entry gives the impression that I'm an anti-spoiler reactionary. The truth is that I'm not. I just choose to avoid them when I want to over-think, over-analyze and over-ruminate. :)

Here I am again. For a fortnight I decided to let Casey's fall rest and attend to other chores. And for the last five days I've reread from the beginning everything I'd seen up to the point where I'd left off.

And today, at last, I wandered into unfamiliar territory:

Instead of choosing

“No, this has gone too far already and it's only going to get worse. I need to tell them the truth”

I chose:

“No, I've come this far. I can't risk him following through with his threads now”.

What I have seen has given me food for thought and now I will share it with you under the spoilers tag.

I've made very little progress. I got to the point where Cassandra says goodbye to Amelia and Casey in the locker room. This is right after Cassandra had relayed to Casey the new direction she wants for her life. But enough was enough for me (!!).

I know my behavior may be alarming. Forgive me. When I get the fever it hits me hard. ;-D

I haven't made any progress since my last entry. However I feel compelled to elaborate a bit on my thoughts from the previous entry. I have titled this new essay: Casey and the villains!

Again I enclose it in spoilers so no one gets spoiled.

I continue with my progressive reading of Casey's fall. As I said, I opted for the option: "There's not much else i can do... better keep my mouth shut in case it all backfires"

I arrived right at the image where Tara and Casey are on their way to meet the rest of the nice guys on the bikes. Just after Tara made her gift to Casey. I have covered 66% of the game which means that I have a third of the visual novel still ahead of me.

My thoughts? Under spoilers!
